Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we headed over to my aunt and uncles house to spend the evening with the fam.

and was pretty upset when they couldn't get all the parts out fast enough!  Ha!  Note to self: ALWAYS take everything apart before presenting it to a 16 month old.  They don't understand "give me one minute".

We had such a fun night, had lots of laughs and enjoyed hanging out together.  Next up, Christmas Day!

Little Cuties

Last weekend my best friend Beth and her family came into town.  They were all hanging out at her parents house and invited Austin and I to come over for dinner.  I love her kids, they are so sweet.  Avery is our Goddaughter and Payden is the most laid back little boy ever, he's Austin's little buddy.  :)

Little guy is working on getting him some teeth so he was all about chewing on the side of his Mommys wine glass.  We're excellent role models.  Ha!  ;)

Avery was very busy all night playing with her cousins but she slowed down long enough to take a picture with us.  I still can't believe Beth has two kids!

Avery looks as much like her Mom as Payden looks like his Dad.  They are both so cute and the sweetest little kids.  Austin said on the way home how cute it was that Avery would just run up to him and give him a hug.  Leah isn't quite there with her Uncle Austin just yet...  ;)

It was great seeing you guys!  We wish you lived closer so we could see each other more often!

Cookies & Lights

Saturday was a busy day!  Tracy and I had our annual cookie/candy baking day where we make goodies for our coworkers for the holidays.  It takes ALL day and Leah wanted to help us out this year.  :)

This is what happened when we had to take the chocolate chips away so we could use them... She was no longer helpful at that point.  Ha!

Saturday night Tracy, Ryan, Leah, Austin & I headed over to Lights in the Heights.  The Heights is a neighborhood area near their house where everyone decorates their houses and yards and it's like a mini festival on residential streets.  We headed to their friend Kevin & Judy's house first and Leah loved the slide!

Christmas Tour Of Homes

I'm linking up again this year to Kelly's Korner and The Nester Christmas Tour of Homes!  I did this last year and not much is different about our house this year but I figured I'd share again.

Welcome to our home!

This is the beautiful wreath that my Mom and Aunt made for me a few years ago.  

I love this berry wreath and hang it in our entry way.

Next up, dining room.  Not too much you can do with a china cabinet so I just dress it up with extra ornaments

I display our holiday cards on the baker's rack in the kitchen.  I love checking the mail everyday for new cards.  :)

I love this frame but the picture in it is from last year.  I probably should get around to changing that...  The little bird house holds a candle that last year to me smelt SO good but for some reason this year I can't even light it.

The angel at the top is so neat to me.  It's from Southern Living at Home and is called the Santos Angel.  When we were engaged and I was having bridal showers I noticed this angel at each hostesses house.  I thought it was such a coincidence that I needed to get one for our house!  They only sell it during the holidays so I ended up finding one on ebay.  :)

Last but certainly not least, our Christmas tree!  I love our tree and even though I decorated it myself, I still stop and check it out probably once a day.

We have SO many cute ornaments but I really love the ones that we got from different places.  This moose is from our vacation in Crested Butte a few summers ago.

Here is our Santa from Tracy & Ryan's wedding in Jamaica.  So much fun!

We even have old school ornaments from when we were kids.  :)  This one is mine from 1988

Brody "wanted" to get his picture taken in front of the tree too.  ;)  He's really shaking his paw so he can get a treat from his Daddy who was standing right behind me.  Ha!  Hey, whatever you gotta do, right??
