27 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 27 Weeks - the THIRD trimester!!! 

Size of baby: Hannah is about the size of a head of cauliflower, about 2lbs and 14 1/2 inches long

Total Weight Gain: 13 lbs

Maternity Clothes: All maternity pants and some regular/mostly maternity tops

Gender: GIRL!!! Hannah Lee Townsend

Movement: Oh, Little Miss Hannah is on the MOVE!!  That girl loves moving around in there.  Now I feel so much more than just punches and kicks.  I feel her flipping around, stretching and who knows what else in there.  Austin asked me the other day how she doesn't get tangled up with her umbilical cord.  I just said she probably does but then she gets herself untangled, I don't know.  I'll have to ask my Dr that question next week.   She has decided that Mommy's bed time is the perfect time to throw a party for one in there and she really gets moving!  It's crazy feeling, it's takes my breath away sometimes by how fast or hard she moves.  She's getting so big and long that I can feel her moving on the left and right side at the same time now.  Sometimes I think she's poking her arm or leg into my ribs.

Sleep: I fall asleep in about a minute and pretty early usually but sometimes I have a hard time staying asleep in the mornings after Austin wakes up which is way too early for me!

Cravings: Sweets as usual, I feel like I eat like a truck driver these days!  Ha!

What I Miss: Not much other than being able to move around like a normal person.

Symptoms: Just the normal stuff really.  I passed the glucose test, woo hoo!  I didn't pass the blood work for anemia though so now I'm taking three iron pills a day.

Best moment this week: Reaching the 3rd trimester!!  I can't believe it's already here!  I also love seeing/feeling her moving around SO much.  I can feel how big she's getting in there, less than three months to go!  Other than a few aches and pains I LOVE being pregnant with little Miss Hannah and I'm glad I still have a few months left of being pregnant.  I'm sure once July hits I may be saying something else in the Texas heat but I know I'll always look back on this time with happy memories.  :)

We have our 1st baby shower this weekend and I'm so excited for it!!
