Party Time!

This past weekend Austin's parents came in town for his birthday.  We had a great time.  Mark enjoyed his "new do"!  Totally his look, right?!  ;)

We had a party on Saturday night at the house so we were running around during the day doing stuff and B was just too exhausted from all the work WE were doing that he needed a little nap!

What a difference two months makes!

Tracy takes weekly pics of Leah and I just can't believe how much she's changed looking back at her 1st week picture!!  She's two months old today!  She is just the sweetest little thing and SO happy and just loves her Mommy!  She smiles and makes noises all the time now.  I don't think any of us can get enough of it.  I can't wait to see her again this weekend for Austin's bday!

Extreme Makeover: Townsend Edition

Ok, so maybe it's not "extreme" but I think it's a pretty good makeover!!  This is what my past post was about.  Austin and I FINALLY got new bedroom furniture and a KING size bed!!  It's our 1st big furniture purchase since we got married.  This bedroom really needed the makeover, my parents bought me that furniture when I was in middle school!  LOOOONG time ago.  Anyways, here are the before and after pics!

Brody wanted in the picture.  :)  You will never guess what those circles are above the bed.....  Ceiling medallions!  You know, those things that fancy people have surrounding their ceiling fans.  Well, we're not fancy so we just hung them on the wall!  ;)

I painted the "accent" wall all by myself while Austin was in Utah!  It's not that different from the regular color but you can definitely tell the difference in person.

Oh, in that "Coming Soon" post one of the hints was a drum.  Here's the drum.  It held our old TV after we got the new furniture but before we got the new TV.  I just wanted to throw you off on what I was up to.  ;)

 I have NO idea why Austin owns that drum but it came in handy this past week.  We aren't completely done yet, we still have a shelf to hang under the TV for our cable box but that's pretty much it!

Not something you hear everyday......

I just called Austin to ask him a question and I forgot that he had the day off for one of their rodeo pre-cooks (it's when they cook the meat and then freeze for the actual cook-off).  Here's how the converstation started:

Austin: Hey

Kelly: Hey, what are you doing?

Austin: Oh, just injecting some seasoning in a pig's butt

Kelly:  ?!?!?!?!

Threw me off for a second then I remembered where he was!  Anyways, I thought it was funny!

Oops!

Austin's been in Utah for over a week for work and while he's gone it's my job to water the garden (see this post).  Well, he never said my job was to pick the vegetables too!  SOOO.....I didn't know to do that.  He called tonight and I said "It's been raining for days.  You should see the okra in the garden!  It's SOOOO big!  Close to a foot long!"  His response was "You're supposed to pick them!  They aren't good when they get that big."  Oops!

Here's the "Kelly Okra" next to the paper towels so you can see the size of this monster!  The "Austin Okra" is the normal sized one on the left.  Ha!

On another note, check out the crazy sky last night when the sun was going down!  If you look really close, you can see our SUPER TALL okras higher than the fence.

Leah's 1st day of work!

Today Tracy and Leah came to visit me at work!  Well, the real reason was that today Halliburton employee's got flu shots for free so that's why Tracy was here but whatever, they came to visit!  I put Leah straight to work at my cube.  She liked it about as much as I do! ;)

After Leah was done working the room we went to lunch and when her Mommy went inside to get her flu shot Aunt Kelly stepped in to feed her (in the car).  She didn't appreciate it at the restaurant that we were eating in front of her and didn't offer her anything.

Leah, I know I'm not your mommy but you at least don't have to look sick about it!  Food is food!
