18 Months Old!

Hannah Lee, you are 1.5 years old!!!  I CAN NOT believe it!  You are SUCH a big girl now!  You are a spunky, sweet, silly little toddler and we love everything about you!

Here's what you've been up to this month:

You have become OBSESSED with all things Elmo and Mickey Mouse!  I don't know where this suddenly came from but you can't get enough!  You know will walk into either your playroom or living room and say "Emmo watch" or "Mickey watch" to watch their shows.  It is adorable to hear you say Mickey Mouse because when you just say Mickey it sounds exactly as it should "Mickey" but when you put it together it sounds like "Mick-AH Mowwse".  It is the cutest sound ever.

Yeah...you don't look like your Daddy at all....  ;)

You LOVE to say hi and wave to everyone when we're out in public.  When we're at the grocery store you wave at each person who passes whether they see you or not.  Most people are so sweet and talk to you and wave back but some ignore you and Mommy thinks they are mean.  :(

Lovin' on Mr Lamb!

Whenever you want to see Mallory (our neighbor who is six months younger than you) and we can't see her we tell you she's sleeping and you always say "Shhhhh!!!  Mallory seepin" and put your finger over your mouth to hush us.  Now you say that anytime you see someone in books or the tv with their eyes closed.  Shhhh!!!  Baby seepin.  It's so cute.

Before Daddy takes you to bed each night I say "I love you" and you say "I wuv u" to me.  Melts my heart.

Last night when I went to kiss you good night this is what I saw.  You had put Mr Lamb next to you and covered him with your blanket.  Soooo sweet!

You are such a sweet little Mommy! In the mornings when we come into your room you have to put your babies to sleep before you get out of your crib. You lay them face down and put either your blanket or one of your cloth books over them and pat their backs.

You are still a great sleeper going to sleep around 7-7:30 and waking up around 6am during the week and 7-8am on the weekends.  You usually play in your crib for anywhere from 15-45 mins if you wake up on your own.  You are busy talking to your babies.

About a month ago we had a big milestone, no more pacifier!  You took it like a champ and never even requested it once!  You amaze me with your ability to cope with new situations.

You've been a bit of a challenge (with Mommy mostly) when you get frustrated with something and you hit.  You will hit whatever is closest to you, it doesn't matter what it is.  If it's the wall then you hit that, if it's Mommy then you hit me.  It doesn't end very well for you little girl.  We've introduced time out and so far it seems to be working.  I say "Do you want to go in time out??" and you will look at me and either A. be sweet and stop hitting or B. look me square in the face and hit again.  Ha!  So, into time out you go!  One minute of us literally holding you into a corner while you cry with your arms out saying "hug!  hug!" because you know that's what you have to do to get out of time out.  As soon as time out is over, you're back to playing like it never happened!

We had an issue this month with your eczema, it was just so bad!  I'm guessing it's because of the cold weather and it's getting a little better each day.  You don't seem to be bothered by it though.

Hugs

We had your 18 month check up this morning and you are doing fantastic!  Your Dr says you are off the charts with your language skills which Mommy and Daddy already knew.  You're a little parrot these days repeating everything we say.  You have 16 teeth and are starting to get some curls on the back of your head!  I can't wait to see how your hair ends up looking, it's been such a long wait.

Height: 32.4" (73%)
Weight: 26lb 1oz (75%)
Head: 19" (91%)

You had to get a finger prick today and you were SO good!  I was beyond impressed because you didn't even flinch when the nurse pricked you or was squeezing your little finger for blood.  But after she left you were upset that you couldn't get the bandaid back on since you pulled it right off.

Mama's wa-wa!

Sweet girl, we love you soooo much!!  You are SO much fun and we love every day that we get to spend with you!  You are the happiest, sweetest, funniest little girl I know and I love you to pieces!

Love reading what Miss Hannah has been up to lately. I can't wait for Chloe to start talking more and hearing that sweet voice. "I wuv you" is sure a heart warmer. The hitting is a difficult stage, isn't it? We don't have it too bad (yet) but I can tell she gets frustrated sometimes and that's usually her first reaction is to hit something. Yay for no more pacifier!! We did away with it this weekend too and I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was! She will cry for about 5-10 minutes at night when we first lay her down, but I was more worried about her waking up during the night looking for it and knock on wood that hasn't happened yet. Look at our girls...all grown up at 18 months old!
