Busy Busy

This weekend in between going to cook-off I got to see lots of Leah while she stayed the weekend with Lainey & Pops! She is getting so big and just loves to move around and talk, it's so cute.

I love the face she's making in this picture.  Look at those cheeks!

Happy baby just talking away!

About to eat pears for the first time!  She loved it.

Going on a walk in the big girl stroller

On Saturday Beth and Avery came over to see Leah.  Avery is getting so big and she's just so cute and said she wanted to hold "baby Lela".

Check out that hair!  Love it.  Avery requested that I take a pic of her so here it is  :)

Happy girl  :)

Leah had such a good time with her Lainey & Pops but she's going to be SO happy to see her Mommy & Daddy today!  This little girl is so loved, she is just the cutest.  :)

Rodeo Cook-off - Saturday

I took the night off Friday from cook-off because I had some doggies that needed tending to but Liz, Chris and I headed back out there Saturday afternoon.

Some of the sponsors for the team

Mark & Cindy made it out!

Here's Lunchbox with his "I'm so happy it's Saturday night and the last night of cook-off" face!

My girl Liz and me

This is the kind of picture you get when boys get the camera.  Chris and Paul posing

The Ogorchock fam

Laura & Amanda

Dede and I (On a side note, while her husband was at cook-off all weekend working his tail off some guy STOLE his truck from the hotel parking lot!!  Can you believe that?!  It's all on tape from the cameras so they saw the truck that the guys drove and then Chris SAW THE GUY driving later down the road!  Craziness.  So, send some good vibes their way that this gets settled SOON!)

Rach & Liz in the picture I call "the beginning of the end of the night"!  Ha, just kidding, I just said that when the drink girls brought them whatever is in those cups.

Ok, so to anyone who has never experienced cook-off it is HUGE!!  There are hundreds of teams and tents and a big carnival going on.  I ventured out of our tent on Saturday night to meet some friends at the gate and Oh. My. Gosh.  NEVER AGAIN!!  There are thousands of people all crammed walking around.  Here's a pic of just one of those rides.

Austin autographed Ambers hand for some reason

Amber and me

Super close up shot of Katie and I.  I'm noticing that apparently I LOVE taking these kinds of pictures.  If any of you want to schedule an intervention to get me to stop taking these pics, I'm all ears!  Ha!  ;)

So, cook-off 2010 is over!  It was so much fun but I'm glad we have an entire year until it's that time again!  :)

Rodeo Cook-off - Thursday

Austin and a group of his friends are on a cook team for the Houston Rodeo Cook-off.  It is a BIG production and they work SOOO hard for months to put on a 3 day party!  Thursday night I headed out there after work and had a blast.

Check out the new tent!  They got their name on it this year.  Laura was posing for me in this picture  :)

Dede and sweet baby Audrey all bundled up

Some of the cooks!  Spam, Lunchbox and Jared

The band, they were so good!

Aunt Janet and Uncle Jeff made it out.  You can see some of the carnival going on behind us in this picture.

Katie and me looking very white!   Apparently the flash was super bright on us, it looks like we're almost glowing!

Amanda playing DJ

Laura, Amanda and me

Austin is the head cook for his team! I barely see him at cook-off because he's so busy working but he still poses for a picture with me.  :)

Stephen, Katie and I headed over to the KILT tent to watch Zona Jones play.  Normally I don't see other tents because I stay in ours and I have to say, the Smokin Amigos tent is one of the best!

Thursday night was so much fun and I took off Friday from work so I got to relax all day.  :)

SHOW US YOUR LIFE - Collections

I'm a day late but I meant to post this yesterday for Kelly's Korner "Show Us Your Life - Collections".  I've always collected random stuff but ever since college I've been collecting crosses and fleur de lis.  One of the symbols for my sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma was the fleur de lis so I had plenty of it!

I have random fleur de lis and crosses all over our house.
My sister-in-law made these bath salts for me for Christmas and put them in the prettiest containers.

This is in our master bedroom, it's rustic looking, I like it.

Austin got this for me at his aunt's shop, Jan's Perfect Presents in Waco

My mother-in-law gave me this for Christmas.  I love it!  It's big and has fleur de lis on it.  :)

And for the grand finale, here is my "cross wall"!  This is the hallway outside of the guest bedrooms.  I love it.  Almost all of these crosses were a gift to me over the past 10 years.  I write the date I got them and from who on the back so I can remember. :)  I don't really know why, I just do.  I like thinking about where they came from, I have a few from Hawaii, Mexico & Alaska.

You can see a little better in this picture.  They are all so different which I love!  It's a really hard wall to get a good picture of by the way so sorry for the angles.

Well, there you have it, my collections!  My next post is going to be a long one, all about the Houston Rodeo Cook-off!  Have a great weekend!

Couples Shower Time

Saturday night a group of us threw a couples shower for Kris (aka Lunchbox) & Katie. Box & Austin headed up there earlier in the day so when Katie & I pulled up we saw this on Box's truck. You know you're in for a crazy time when people are sneaking nice little magnetic messages on the guest of honor's truck! Ha!
P.S. He was wearing pants! He didn't even know that was on his truck until we saw it.

Amanda always does the best job decorating for parties. She should be a party planner, their house looked festive to go along with the theme of the party.

Beautiful arrangement and YUMMY cake balls! They were all gone by the end of the night.

Amanda arranged those flowers herself!

Drink time!

Box was really excited to open presents as you can see with the present ribbon on his head.

He kept lifting up the gifts over his head because apparently that's the only way we can see them. ;)

Lunchbox thought that the red bag was a new laptop bag. Such a guy! We let him know this was so his lovely wife-to-be could bring food in dishes to other people's houses. He was disappointed at that answer. Sorry man, it's just the way it is!

Here's my buddy Will, he's about to be 3 and is just such a sweet little guy!

Cliff got in on the bow wearing action

See, there he is again holding his presents above his head!

Some of the boys hanging out

Me, Jenny & Katie

I asked Katie and Amanda to take a picture together but Amanda didn't hear so Katie just took a picture pretending Amanda was posing with her.

Sister-in-laws!

Nighty night Cliff! These guys are silly.

Austin and me

For those of you who don't know, Katie is a drill team director so she knows all the "new" dances out there.  Ever since Beyonce's "All The Single Ladies" came out Lunchbox has been learning the moves.  SO funny!  As you can clearly hear, we all thought it was pretty entertaining!

I have no idea what they were talking about but I think it's a hilarious picture.  Lunchbox and his mom

Future Mr & Mrs Ogorchock!

Everyone had a great time, we're all looking forward to the wedding in April! Congrats to the happy couple!
