Sneak Peak!

Here are a few of my maternity pics we had taken a few weeks ago!  I'll show more once I have them.

Memorial Day Weekend

Over the Memorial Day weekend we had FOUR cookouts to attend!  I only managed to take pictures of one though, oops!  It's getting harder to remember my camera these days because honestly, my brain just doesn't work right anymore.  Ha!  For real people, I speak my own language these days.  It's ridiculous.  Austin usually just laughs and corrects me so that helps some.  If I wasn't eight months pregnant then I'd be pretty embarrassed about how absent minded I've become.

On Saturday we headed over to Katie & Lunchbox's house for the last crawfish boil of the season.  YUMMY!  I think I ate my weight in crawfish that day.  And then I paid for it later by all the swelling that occurred from the salt....  There were lots of people there, I just didn't get any pictures of them, it was too messy to have my camera around all those mud bugs!

Big Dan & Austin ready to get their crawfish on!

Austin and his whale, I mean wife!  Just kidding.  Hannah is getting BIG in there though!!

Poor little guy didn't have a chance up against Big Dan!

YUMMY!!!  I'm not sure if crawfish boils are just a southern thing or not so some of you may think this is weird but I promise you they are TASTY!  I never liked them as much as I do pregnant!  Back when Austin and I were dating I used to make him crack them open for me and I'd just eat the meat.  Now, there is NO time for that silly nonsense!  I have my own pile in front of me just like the big boys.  :)  That's not just my pile though, I promise!

Getting some sweet newborn time in.  Austin even wanted to hold little 6-week old Rowan for a while.  She's so tiny and sweet!

On Sunday before we headed to cookout #3 in the afternoon and then #4 at night we went to my parents house for a little pool time with Leah!  Again, there were other people there besides Leah, I just didn't get any pics of them.  I should work on that....

I love all the faces she makes

Leah wanted to be a big girl and just wanted to hold onto the noodles and kick her legs!

Can you tell she's having fun??

Holding on tight!

After swimming we went to our friends house for a nice BBQ and then we headed back home at night for a neighbors BBQ.  I had noticed all weekend long that my feet were swelling pretty bad.  Oh.  My.  Gosh.  Did they ever swell!!!  It was BAD!!!

Here is a picture I took of my feet back at 25 weeks pregnant when they were just starting to swell.  Ignore my crooked big toes, it's weird, I know but I can't straighten them and it's just the way it is so I'm over it.  This is what NORMAL Kelly feet look like!  I miss these feet....

This was Sunday night after all the weekend festivities.  These are my 30 weeks pregnant spent all weekend outside in 95 degree heat eating salty foods feet. DEEEEESGUSTING!!!

Yes folks, that's what a thumbprint looks like on my feet!!  I'm just keeping it real here people, it's not pretty.  And no, it doesn't feel good either!  My poor little feet have been swelling like crazy since Friday and for some reason my left foot always swells worse than my right, who knows why.  I wore flip flops all weekend long and they aren't even tight AT ALL and you can still see the indentions from the straps.  My feet looked like they were broken or something by how swollen they were!  Sad little feet....  Austin gives me foot rubs every night now and he just laughs at how swollen they are, he'll rub the top of my feet and his fingers will just leave marks that stay for several minutes.  For anyone who is wondering, I drink TONS of water too!  I guess it's just my "welcome to your 3rd trimester of pregnancy in the summer" present!  That's ok, I'll take it. ;)

Needless to say, I didn't do much on Monday....  It was a fun and busy weekend!  I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day!

30 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 30 Weeks, I can't believe I'm already at the 30 mark!!
Size of baby: Hannah is about the weight of a head of cabbage, around 3 lbs and about 16 inches long, and believe me, I can tell she's getting bigger!
Total Weight Gain: 17 lbs
Maternity Clothes: All maternity clothes
Gender: GIRL!!! Hannah Lee Townsend
Movement: Lots of movement! She's making bigger and longer movements than before now.  Not as much kicking and punching as before, it's more like rolling and body parts trying to pop out of my belly.  Ha!  I was in my chair at work leaning in towards my computer screen the other day and I guess that wasn't comfortable for Miss Hannah because she literally made me move positions.  She lodged herself up there so I couldn't sit like that anymore.  Well, excuse me Hannah....  ;)  The other night I swear she was trying to bust out of there too!  Whatever she was doing was so hard it took my breath away, I was laying on my side and she was trying to get out the other side!
Sleep: I'm still falling asleep super eazy and early but I'm waking up before the alarm every morning now.  Add that to my new commute of two hours a day and I'm one tired momma!
Cravings: Sweets
What I Miss: Not much other than being able to move around like a normal person.
Symptoms: Heartburn and absent mindedness.  The swelling has been a lot better this week (only if I stay inside though) but I no longer am wearing my wedding bands anymore.  :(
Best moment this week: My baby shower!  It was perfect and so much fun!!  Hannah is very loved!

Tuesday night Austin and I attended a Breastfeeding Basics class at the hospital.  It was really helpful and I'd recommend any first time parents attend a class like this if it's available in your area.  FYI, to all Dad's out there who might try to fight going to this class, every mom-to-be had her spouse there except for a few women, it's really helpful to have the guys there to learn so when you're frustrated and tired and can't figure things out they can help or at least understand what's going on.  That's just my opinion at least.  So anyways, we were given a survey when the class finished and I took a look at Austin's answers before we left.  When I got to the bottom I started laughing out loud.  Look closely, and keep in mind, this is a BREASTFEEDING class!  His answer to what was the most helpful part to him was "Dad stuff" and his least helpful part was "Breast stuff"!  Well, I'm glad that he enjoyed the DAD part of the class but I think the breast part was pretty important to considering the class we were attending!  Ha!

I hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend!

Pool Time!

This past Saturday, after my baby shower some of us got into the pool and let Leah entertain us.  She LOVES the pool!  She had so much fun playing with her Pops.

You think it was a good Saturday for her??  I think her face says it all!

This was when she was yelling "Pop!  Wawa!" and pointing at him because he was splashing water on her.  It was so cute.

Eating a post-pool snack of bananas

I have no idea what she's pointing at but it's a cute picture of her anyways.  She's getting so big!!

This video cracks. me. up!  She was having such a good time and was being so silly.  We have NO idea what she's doing or why she's making those noises but I guess it's just her having a good time!

Looking forward to a summer of pool time until the babies get here!

Baby Shower Fun

This past Saturday my wonderful sister, some of my best friends and my Godmother hosted a baby shower for Hannah and me.  It was perfect!  They put so much work into it and I didn't get pictures of everything but it was just so cute and went with the theme of Hannah's room.

The cake table

The cute cake that Beth and her Mom decorated and the favors that Amber put together.

The favors up close, there were little candy rattles in there and jelly beans.

There were BEAUTIFUL flowers everywhere!  I have this one and a few other arrangements in my house now and they still look so pretty!  Hannah's blocks that are in her room to match her bedding are showing with the flowers.

Thank you again so much girls for the AWESOME baby shower!  Hannah and I feel so loved and got so many great things for her arrival!  Y'all are the best!!  Thanks also to everyone who came, I didn't get pictures here of you all but I'm so lucky to have such great family and friends!

29 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 29 Weeks
Size of baby: Hannah is about the size of a butternut squash, around 2.5 lbs and about 15 inches long
Total Weight Gain: 16 lbs
Maternity Clothes: All maternity clothes
Gender: GIRL!!! Hannah Lee Townsend
Movement: Lots of movement!  She is all over the place in there!  I love it  :)
Sleep: I sleep pretty good but wake up a few times during the night.  Lately this week I'm having trouble sleeping in, I've been waking up before my alarm almost every morning.  One morning I woke up 3 HOURS before my alarm went off and couldn't fall back asleep!  No bueno.  I was at work before my alarm even went off and then I realized I never turned my alarm off so poor Brody had to listen to that go off every 9 minutes for however long it continued.  Oops....
Cravings: Sweets
What I Miss: Not much other than being able to move around like a normal person.  I'm slow.  I get passed up walking pretty much wherever I go.
Symptoms: Daily heartburn and feet swelling are the norm now it seems.  My mind is officially in LaLa land for the time being, I hope it comes back once she's born.  I forget everything and repeat myself all the time and just flat out say the most incorrect things.  I could tell someone the sky was lime green and not even think twice.  Ha!
Best moment this week: Getting my maternity pictures taken, I can't wait to see them!  I'm so happy we're going to have these to look back on once Hannah is here.  We met with Hannah's pediatrician this morning and we really like her.  I'm happy to have that checked off the list!

I have a baby shower tomorrow, I'm SO excited for it!!

28 Weeks

Due to Blogger having issues last week I'm reposting my 28 Week update.  I'll try to remember what I said last week.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 28 Weeks
Size of baby: Hannah is about the size of a Chinese cabbage, whatever that is
Total Weight Gain: 15 lbs, it's really getting tough seeing the weight adding up on the scale these days
Maternity Clothes: All maternity pants and a few regular/mostly maternity tops
Gender: GIRL!!! Hannah Lee Townsend
Movement: Miss Thang is quite the dancer in there!  She loves moving around and keeping me guessing about what's going on!  I love it though, it makes me feel like she's happy and healthy.
Sleep: I fall asleep in about a minute and pretty early usually but sometimes I have a hard time staying asleep in the mornings after Austin wakes up which is way too early for me!  Once I'm up, I'm up.  :(
Cravings: Sweets as usual, and I've noticed pretty much this entire pregnancy I love chicken tenders.  I eat them at least once a week.  Healthy, I know...
What I Miss: Not much other than being able to move around like a normal person.
Symptoms: Just the normal stuff really. Moving slowly, getting worn out quickly (but that's mostly from the heart issue I think) and now I can add the daily HEARTBURN to the list.  Boo!  Oh, I almost forgot, the hands/feet/ankle swelling!  Wow, that just came out of nowhere!  I no longer wear my normal work shoes anymore, I'm glad it's warm around here because sandals are all that's going on my feet until baby girl is here!
Best moment this week: Just feeling her moving around all the time!  We also had a great Mother's Day and we got to spend it with both our Mom's.  Austin spoiled me with my 1st Mother's Day gifts, accessories for our camera.  Now I just need to figure out how to use them!
Here is a sneak peak at Hannah's room!  Once I have everything in there I'll do a post on it all.

We had our maternity pictures taken this past Thursday, I can't wait to see them!  I'll share once we get the proofs.
