Valentine's Day

Every holiday is an event around our house, we craft and get presents, it's just lots of fun!

This year we made a few hand print crafts.  I LOVE this sign we made for the living room!  I'll bring it out every year for Valentine's Day.

We also made these cards for the grandparents and mailed them to Lainey & Pops and CiCi & Papa.  Hannah painted her hand prints herself!

We also made Daddy a card which is more like a small poster....

Hannah was dressed and ready for the big day!

Hannah was having a fun party at her school that day!  There were several of the parents there to celebrate with our favorite Valentines.

Hannah and her buddy Payton.  They are so cute together!

Excited about her party food!

But SUPER excited about her cupcake.  As always.

That night we went out to dinner with our BFFs, Katie, Lunchbox and Emma, it was one big Valentine's Day date.  This was Hannah's kids meal.  For one child.  Who is two.  So much food!  She inhaled the edamame as usual.

And just for comparison (or to make me want to cry) this was Hannah two years ago on Valentine's Day.  So little!

Dance Dance!

Our girl loves to dance!  If she sees any dancing on tv she stops what she's doing and stares.  So, it's not odd at all for us to have a little dance party at night before bath time (hence the no pants, we were midway through getting undressed for her bath when she felt the need to bust a move)!

Spinning around with Mommy!

Then showing off her best moves to us!

Love her and her awesome dance moves!  She is just so funny and keeps us laughing constantly!

Park Fun

There is a park in our neighborhood that Hannah just LOVES to visit so every now and then after work (and if she's gotten a good report from her teacher that day) we stop by for a little while to play.

She's such a big girl there now and can run all over the place and do almost everything on her own!

No fear.

Check out that static!

Haha!  Definitely more hair than last year!

Exploring the woods through her binoculars

Playing me a little music

They didn't have play grounds like this when I was little!

Aaaaand then she discovered the volley ball court.  The sand covered volley ball court.  So after about five minutes of her throwing sand around we headed home.

You can see how excited she was about my decision.

Mommy, I gotta play in the sand!

This is why we don't stop at the playground everyday.  ;)

Five On Friday

Happy Friday!!!  This week took forever and I'm SO glad it's finally Friday because we have a fun weekend planned!  I haven't linked up to 5 on Friday in a long time but in an effort to get caught up on the blog I'm back!

Here are five things about our week so far.

- ONE -

This girl and her faces.  She cracks me up!  She's so silly and I LOVE it!!  For every single one of these pictures I had asked her to smile...

This one.  WOW.  Makes me laugh every time!

- TWO -

Look at our little Hannah on St. Patrick's Day.  This was the best smile I could get at 7am but she just looked so sweet!

- THREE -

I love how patiently she was waiting for her turn at gymnastics class

- FOUR -

Insert me crying here.  I can't believe this was two years ago!!  Thanks Timehop app for always making me feel like time is going by SO fast!

- FIVE -

Tomorrow I'm running in my first 5K!  I can't believe it.  Seriously.  Anyone who knows me in real life can't believe it either.  I decided in January that I wanted to become a runner.  Well, actually, I just wanted to LOVE running (or at least like it).  I kept seeing people posting on FB that they couldn't believe how much they love running when last year they couldn't run a mile.  So, I decided I wanted to give it a try.  I now run 3-4 times a week on the treadmill at home so we'll see how this goes tomorrow out in the fresh air but I'm super excited!  BUT, do I love running?  No.  I still don't love it but I love how I feel after it so I decided that's what all those people meant because running is just terrible.  Ha!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Girls Weekend

Back in January Austin and Pops went on a hunting trip so Hannah and I were on our own.  We stayed busy!  Friday night we went shopping and met Lainey for dinner.

Hannah drew a masterpiece

She was so proud

So we said "cheers!"  Haha.

The next morning we got up and drove to Aunt Tracy's side of town to spend the day/night with Haley and Leah.  And Aunt Tracy and Uncle Ryan of course.

Tracy and I took the girls to a paint your own pottery place where they each got to pick out whatever they wanted to paint.  Hannah just HAD to have the princess piggy bank.  I tried to talk her into something a little more simple to paint but that's what she wanted.  It was funny, the helper there was telling us the technique to paint the pottery and we just smiled and said ok, thanks because Haley and Hannah were not going to do a single thing she said.  We were right.  ;)

All three girls were concentrating so hard on their pottery.

Leah also wanted to paint a princess and Haley painted a horse

Working hard!

I didn't notice it until now but Haley and Hannah both paint the same way with their left arms out.

She didn't follow the helpers instructions.  ;)

Leah looks like such a big girl now!  I asked them all to smile.  I kind of got a smile from Leah....

This girl.....she is just funny.

This was the best I could get from Hannah.  Silly.

Hannah's princess!  It's now glazed and sitting on her bookshelf collecting all the "coins" as she calls them, she can find.

Happy girl!

Silly girl.

Lunch with two adults and three little girls is loud.  And eventful.  And a lot of other things for sure....

After playing all afternoon we went out to dinner.  No more pictures Mommy!

The next morning I found Hannah walking around in Haley's Cinderella shoes.  She thinks she's a princess.

Such a fun weekend!  She was WORN OUT on the ride home!

About an hour after getting home I found her like this in the playroom.  Poor baby had a fever and didn't feel well.  :(

I think she just caught a little virus, nothing that staying home with Daddy on Monday and then with Mommy on Tuesday couldn't fix.

We love girls weekends!
