26 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 26 Weeks
Size of baby: Hannah is about the length of an English cucumber
Total Weight Gain: 12 lbs
Maternity Clothes: All maternity pants and some regular/mostly maternity tops
Gender: GIRL!!! Hannah Lee Townsend
Movement: LOTS of movement! Baby girl loves moving all over the place, most of the times I can tell if it's a punch/kick but sometimes I can't tell what exactly it is she's doing in there!  Yesterday I had my hand on my belly and I think I felt her arm move across the top.
Sleep: I fall asleep in about a minute and pretty early usually but sometimes I have a hard time staying asleep in the mornings after Austin wakes up which is way too early for me!
Cravings: Sweets as usual
What I Miss: Not much other than being able to move around like a normal person.  My coworker told me I was walking like a penguin the other day, nice.  Ha!
Symptoms: Just normal stuff.  I'm still having Braxton Hicks contractions but nothing like Saturday.  I went to the Dr yesterday for my 26 week appt and she checked me out to make sure I hadn't started pre-term labor because of Saturday and all is good!  WAY too early for that to start!  I also got in trouble about waiting too long to call her about the contractions on Saturday and how I need to remember I have a heart condition and have to take it easy.  Oops.  Hannah's heart rate was good and strong at 142 and the Dr said she's still growing just right in there.  I drank the yucky drink for my Glucose test yesterday too.  Wasn't that bad to physically drink, it just made me feel sick afterwards for a few hours.
Best moment this week: Seeing her moving around so much and getting her room done! All we have left is getting some wall decorations! :)  The other morning I was laying in bed with my hands on my belly and she wasn't moving and I said "good morning Hannah" and she kicked me back!  It was cute, I think she was saying "good morning Mommy".  Ok, maybe not, but I can think what I want right?!  ;)

Easter Weekend Fun

I hope everyone had a great Easter!  Ours was good just very busy getting ready for Miss Hannah. :)

B was around at all times to supervise of course

Mark and Cindy came into town on Friday afternoon and brought Austin, Hannah and me the cutest Easter basket full of goodies for all of us!

There was a little something for everyone in there :)

Saturday we were all hard at work!  Here Cindy and I are putting together some shelves for Hannah's room while Austin & Mark painted her room.  Once it's all complete I'll show pictures of it all.

B wanted us to play with him instead of working on other stuff.  He's determined to not be ignored!  Ha!

Then it was nap time...

Getting Hannah's crib put together, that's a big box!  Thanks again Mark & Cindy for all your hard work!!

Sunday after church we headed to my parents house for Easter lunch
Austin & Cindy hanging out

Tracy & Leah

Cute little girl

After lunch we had cupcakes that my parents picked up at a local bakery.  Yummy!

The hubs & me after lunch.  I need a tan!

Leah was very interested in her Easter basket!

I don't remember what she's talking about here but she was super cute :)

I hope you all had a happy Easter with your families!

25 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 25 Weeks
Size of baby: Hannah is about the size of an eggplant
Total Weight Gain: Still holding strong at 11 lbs
Maternity Clothes: All maternity pants and some regular/mostly maternity tops
Gender: GIRL!!! Hannah Lee Townsend
Movement: LOTS of movement!  She moves a lot while I'm at work and when I'm laying down at night the most.  Sometimes I really wonder what she's doing in there to cause so much movement!
Sleep: Sleep has been pretty good.  I'm exhausted by the time I get home from work every day but there is so much to do to get ready for Miss Hannah that I don't get too much down time.
Cravings: Sweets
What I Miss:  Probably just sleeping through the night and not having pains when moving too quickly.  I think I forget I'm pregnant sometimes...
Symptoms: Just the same stuff as before pretty much, I'm just really feeling bigger!  I told Austin he was going to need to go to the grocery store with me from now on to push the cart and load/unload the bags into the car because it WORE ME OUT!!  I'm getting a lot more winded and tired now with the heart issue so it makes doing normal tasks seem like big tasks and I usually need to rest a lot.  Austin's parents came into town this weekend and we worked on Hannah's room and I had to quit in the afternoon because I was having so many Braxton Hicks contractions.  OUCH!  I talked to my Dr Saturday night and she said if I was having more than four an hour then I would need to go to Labor & Delivery at the hospital to get checked out which freaked me out a bit but I just laid on the couch and drank a bunch of water the rest of the night and they slowed down.  I was so sore today from having them for several hours yesterday that it hurt to walk. :(  I guess I overdid it...
Best moment this week: Seeing her moving around so much and getting her room done!  All we have left is getting some wall decorations! :)

Mo Co Cookoff

This past weekend was the Montgomery County Cookoff that Austin and some of his buddies participate in every year.  Saturday afternoon I loaded my car full of friends and we headed up there for some fun and BBQ.

The walk from the car was far for Liz and her broken foot  :(

By the time we got into the fair grounds we found her a ride!

The sign I found behind the food prep area.  Nice guys.  I guess Austin was keeping everyone in control...

Some of the boys at work

Liz, me and Katie hanging out waiting to get fed!

Box and Katie

Austin and Cliff with their 7th place ribbon for ribs!  There were 120 entries so 7th place is pretty awesome!

When the sun goes down the freaks come out!  This time we had some of them with us, ha!  Chris and Box getting their dance on with Liz's crutches.  I think that was dust all over my camera lens, awesome.

I didn't take nearly enough pics this year for some reason but it was a great time!

Dakan Wedding Weekend

This past weekend one of my college friends Megan got married!  We had a blast celebrating with her and her family and friends.  We started the weekend with the rehearsal/rehearsal dinner.  Poor Meg got a call Tuesday night saying that their rehearsal dinner venue BURNED DOWN!!  Wade got right on it and about 50 phone calls later booked this cute antique shop/Italian restaurant for Friday night, it was perfect!

Jackie & me hanging out before dinner.  Hannah is showing big time in this pic, I guess my dress was pulling against Jackie or something because I didn't look like that all night.  Funny story though, on Saturday before the bridal party was introduced for the reception everyone was hanging out in a room drinking and just waiting on pictures to be done.  The groomsman that I had rehearsed with Friday night and then was being introduced Saturday night with asked if I wanted a beer.  I said no thanks, I wish.  He said why not?  Ummm...I'm pregnant buddy!  He didn't know!  I'm not really sure how he missed it since I spent time hanging around with him and I'm pretty sure I look pregnant but ok!  Ha!  Have another beer buddy! ;)

The bride-to-be and me

Austin and me ready to eat.  Well, me ready to eat at least!  ;)

Saturday afternoon Meg ready to head to the wedding in her "Mrs Dakan" outfit!

Christine, Meg and Mrs Arent happy on the limo ride

Me with the beautiful bride!  She looked like a princess and her dress was gorgeous!!

Officially Mrs Dakan with her jokester little bro Tony

Mr & Mrs Dakan during their 1st dance

Beautiful cake

Meg surprised Wade with an outdoorsy type grooms cake.  It was tasty too!

Their photographer made the cutest sign in book.  Each page had a picture from their engagement pictures.

Beautiful flowers everywhere

Meg and her Dad dancing together

Austin, Hannah and me just hanging out.  Excuse my hair by this point, it was WINDY during the ceremony!  But such a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding!

Me with Beth

My Dad looking like a stud posing between my Mom and me

Mr Arent break dancing.  So funny!

My fellow preggers Lindsey and me just hanging out watching everyone dancing.  It was pretty entertaining to watch but so different to not be out there in the middle of the dance floor with everyone.  It's a little hard to dance when you're belly feels heavy!  But it was still fun. :)  Lindsey is due just three days after me with her 1st boy!

Austin and Bryan enjoying their beverages as always ;)

More pretty flowers

Meg in her beautiful bridal portrait

Katie busting a move to Thriller!

Mr Arent rented this awesome car for the Bride and Groom to leave in

Here's what I remember about the car, it's a '67 something and it's British and the Queen apparently rode in it once.  That's it.  Ha!  Girls, we don't remember car stuff!  Oh, and the steering wheel is on the right side.

The Bride dancing with a cowboy hat.  Meg's been known a time or two to borrow a cowboy hat while dancing. ;)

This weekend also was Brody's first time to stay in a hotel!  He made the drive up to Dallas with my parents on Saturday and was planning on staying with Austin and I in our room but he was having so much fun with Gabby that they stayed together with my parents.  He had a GREAT time and slept the whole way home and all afternoon/night once we got back home.  Here the slobber monster is making himself at home on the couch in the hotel room.  B's never met a couch cushion he didn't love.

Congratulations Megan and Wade!!  You guys had an awesome wedding and looked so happy and cute together!  Love you guys!
