Girls Weekend

Back in January Austin and Pops went on a hunting trip so Hannah and I were on our own.  We stayed busy!  Friday night we went shopping and met Lainey for dinner.

So we said "cheers!"  Haha.

The next morning we got up and drove to Aunt Tracy's side of town to spend the day/night with Haley and Leah.  And Aunt Tracy and Uncle Ryan of course.

Tracy and I took the girls to a paint your own pottery place where they each got to pick out whatever they wanted to paint.  Hannah just HAD to have the princess piggy bank.  I tried to talk her into something a little more simple to paint but that's what she wanted.  It was funny, the helper there was telling us the technique to paint the pottery and we just smiled and said ok, thanks because Haley and Hannah were not going to do a single thing she said.  We were right.  ;)

 I didn't notice it until now but Haley and Hannah both paint the same way with their left arms out.

Leah looks like such a big girl now!  I asked them all to smile.  I kind of got a smile from Leah....

Lunch with two adults and three little girls is loud.  And eventful.  And a lot of other things for sure....

After playing all afternoon we went out to dinner.  No more pictures Mommy!

The next morning I found Hannah walking around in Haley's Cinderella shoes.  She thinks she's a princess.  

Such a fun weekend!  She was WORN OUT on the ride home!

About an hour after getting home I found her like this in the playroom.  Poor baby had a fever and didn't feel well.  :(

I think she just caught a little virus, nothing that staying home with Daddy on Monday and then with Mommy on Tuesday couldn't fix.

We love girls weekends!

My Little Mary Lou

So....am I old for referencing Mary Lou Retton??  Well, if you don't know who that is, then you probably are reading the wrong blog because she was awesome and my sister and I pretended to be her when we would play on the swing set in the backyard growing up so Hannah will know who she is too. :)

Anyways, back in January I signed Hannah up for gymnastics classes because I just thought it would be something fun for her to do.  She LOVES it!!!  I'm not sure who is having more fun, her or us because it's so much fun watching her!  We laugh a LOT.  She goes once a week for 45 mins which seems to be the perfect amount of time for her age.  The classes go by so quickly and she's entertained the entire time.  There are only five kids in her class with 2-3 coaches depending on the day so they get lots of one-on-one attention.

Here we were signing Hannah up for class.  She was so excited to see the big gym!  

That weekend we went leotard shopping.  She was so stinking cute!  I asked if she wanted a leotard and she said "Mommy, I don't want a Leah-tard, I want a Haley-tard!"  Haha.  Always thinking about her cousins.  (Side note - Austin told me he often asks her what she's thankful for and her first things are ALWAYS Leah and Haley.  So sweet!  I asked if she always says Mommy and Daddy too and he said no.  Haha!  Well, ok then.)

I'm so happy we signed her up for this and we'll definitely keep it going until she doesn't want to go anymore.  She just has a blast and is learning about following instructions, coordination, etc.  Now when you ask Hannah anytime about gymnastics class she automatically starts doing flips/rolls.  She's a trip.  

  

New Years Eve

This New Years Eve we had plans that have become a little tradition for us since Hannah's been born, we were going to Tracy and Ryan's so the girls could play together and we stay the night.  It's always so much fun!  But, this year I (along with CiCi) got a nasty case of bronchitis from South Texas when we were there for the Townsend Christmas the week before (thank you so much Mexico dusty winds!) so I was sick for about six days.  I felt terrible but I wasn't contagious, just miserable with coughing, etc so we canceled our plans last minute.  Sad. :( But luckily for us, Katie and Lunchbox were having friends over just down the road to watch the Aggie bowl game so we headed over there for a few hours and were home before midnight.  Not wild and crazy (but really, who are we kidding anymore, ha!) but still a good time!

This is what happens when you get a bunch of little girls together.  I'm not really sure what my daughter is doing is normal but it's always crazy!  Seriously....WHAT is she doing?!  Haha!  Typical Hannah!

Me and Katie.  We've spent MANY NYE together and this by far was our tamest!  If you don't count six little wild monkeys running all over the house.

Hannah wanted to stay up late to watch the second half of the game with her Daddy.  How many Aggie rings does one little girl need??

It was a great way to finish up 2013 (minus the sick part)! 

Christmas Day

It happened.  Finally.  I am blogging about the rest of 2013!  Can you believe it?!  I've been so behind on blogging that I don't even want to get started because it takes so much work but I don't want to miss anything so I'm getting there.  

Christmas morning was different this year, actually all of Christmas day was different this year.  Mark and Cindy stayed Christmas Eve with us so this was the first year we weren't home alone on Christmas morning (nothing is better to Hannah than having Papa to play with all her new toys!).  Then we spent the entire day at our house which is another first because usually we go to my parents house but since we already did our Christmas over there a few days earlier with Tracy, Ryan and the girls they came to our house since it was just us.  It was a quiet day but nice to spend with family.  Next year we're going back to the normal routine though with kids everywhere making noise at the grandparents house!

Christmas morning we were all up waiting on our little sleeping beauty to wake up and see what Santa brought her!

He even left her a note on her board!  He's talented like that.  ;)

After opening presents we all got dressed and Lainey and Pops came over for Christmas lunch.  It was SO yummy!!

That evening Papa, Austin and I took Hannah around the neighborhood to look at all the lights.  She had so much fun!

After checking out lights we all got in our jammies and watched Christmas Vacation (which is totally appropriate for a 2 year old...  haha)

The next morning CiCi and Papa left early and Hannah and I took Daddy to see Frozen with us since he missed it the first time!  We decided he needed to know how important it is.

After the movie we did some shopping/exchanging and had lunch, it was a great day after Christmas!
