Christmas Week - Part One, Autrey Style

Today we kicked off our Christmas week at my parents house.  It's our 1st of 3 Christmas celebrations!

Guess who learned to roll over today?!  THIS girl!!  Excuse her dress pulled up to her belly button, she can only handle one thing at a time!  She had a major cheering section there for her!

Just Cuteness

The other night Austin and I were watching tv and I looked over and saw this.  We've just discovered that he LOVES the fireplace!  He always goes right up to my parents "real" fireplace so we layed down a blanket for him to see if he likes it at home too.  He does!  That little hippo that he's spooning with is his FAVORITE toy and I can't find it ANYWHERE anymore!  :(  It's pretty yucky but I don't have the heart to throw it out because he loves it so much.  Anyways, I just thought this was too cute not to share!  Have a good weekend!

Are We Related?

I was just going through some recent pics I took and I came across this one.

That picture was taken on our snow day.  I didn't show it in the previous post because it's a silly picture and I look dumb (I was saying "BRRRR" in this picture, it was COLD!) but when I was going through it again I thought "I know I've seen a picture like this before"....

And this is where!  Tracy took this pic of Leah at the park a month or so ago.  Leah and Aunt Kelly make similar faces, hers is just cuter!  Ha!  I just thought it was funny. 

The Autrey gene is strong!  ;)

Maybe it's just the fists up to the chin and wrinkly foreheads, but hey, it's still funny to me!

Just a little note:  Leah looks nothing like me, she's ALL Mommy & Daddy and sometimes she looks just like her Pops.

Christmas Tour of Homes

I'm pretty new to blogging but I remember seeing this last year and I loved it!  The Nester is hosting it this year, I love reading her blog.

So, I decided to get the camera out and take pics of all my Christmas decorations.  I wish I had a fancy camera so I could get better pics (it's HARD to get good pictures with Christmas lights!) but these pics will do, you get the picture.  ;)

So, here we go on the Townsend Christmas Tour! 
Here's the beautiful wreath that my Aunt Janet and Mom made for me two years ago for our 1st Christmas at the new house.  I love it!

The entry way, I love this berry wreath.

I got this table runner at Crate & Barrel last year after the holidays SUPER cheap!  :)  Everything I buy for the holidays is on sale.  Always!

Now we're on to the kitchen area.  Lots of Christmas going on here!  On the left is this cute candle cover thing with a Christmas tree scented candle.  It smells SO good!  Takes care of that wonderful natural pine tree scent since we have an artificial tree.  :)

I made this wreath a few weeks ago and put it over the pantry door.  It's not 100% how I wanted it to look but I'm pretty pleased with it.  :)

More kitchen

Some Aggie love in here!  I got this paver at a craft fair at work a few years ago.  Austin went to A&M and I've noticed we have a lot of Aggie stuff but I went to the University of North Texas and I have NOTHING!  I need to do something about that....

I got this at the Nutcracker Market this year, I need to somehow learn better handwriting so I can write cuter on this plate thing. 

Christmas cards!  I LOVE getting them every year. 

Of course this is my favorite Christmas card this year  :)  Isn't she the cutest?!

Moving on to our living room, here's our tree.  I love decorating our Christmas tree!  More about that here.

Entertainment center all decked out

A close up of the entertainment center.  The angel at the top is called the Santos Angel and it's from Southern Living at Home as well.  Neat story about that angel.  I had several wedding showers and I noticed by the 3rd one that each house had that angel in it!  I took it as a sign and figured if it was at each of my hostess's house for my wedding then I needed it as well!  They only sold it during the holiday seasons so I ended up buying it on ebay.  It stays right next to one of our wedding pictures.  :)

I decorated the mantle a few weeks ago and I'm pretty please with how it turned out!

My last Christmas decoration  :)  Brody isn't very happy with me when I put clothes on him.  Sorry buddy!

Crafty Girls

Liz asked me to help her make a wreath this weekend so today we did that.  Liz is funny and according to her, her best quality is her dancing.  ;)  Craftiness isn't at the top of her list of top qualities so I was pretty proud of the finished product!  I thought it might be me doing the whole thing with her entertaining me but she was right there with me making it!  We just had the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show on entertaining us instead.  Good thing we look just like those girls otherwise we might have felt self conscious!  ;)

The final product!  It looks a little pinkish but it's not.  It's pretty and has lots of sparkles!  :)

Liz & Chris's dog is named Moose so we had to add a little moose here to represent!

Sweet Tooth

Today Tracy and I had our 4th annual holiday cookie/candy making day.  We do this every year to give as Christmas gifts for our coworkers.  We start with LOTS of stuff!  We've pretty much got it down to a science.  She stirs this, I mix that, etc.

Leah decided since it's her 1st Christmas she wanted to help too!  She wanted to measure out the pecans first.

Then she decided her fingers were more interesting.  This picture cracks me up!

Aunt Kelly, why did you leave me here all alone?  I can't do this all by myself!

What do you mean we have to take a lunch break?!?  I'm on a ROLL!  I don't want to stop!!

Uh oh, Leah's got a sweet tooth!  Who gave you that lollipop Leah?

Here's the final product!  Toffee butter crunch, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, ginger snap cookies, peanut butter balls & Oreo cookie balls.  SO good!!

Now that all the baking is done it's picture time with our favorite girl!

All dressed and ready for her 1st holiday party with "My 1st Christmas" socks on!

Then I get home and B is super sleepy from all his exciting times with Gabby today.  Leah's not the only cute "baby" in our family!  ;)
