Happy 1st Birthday Haley!

Sweet Haley Rae, I can't believe you are already ONE!!!  You are the sweetest baby I've ever met and we all love you soooo much!  You, your sister and your cousin are all so different from each other and we love that.  You have the sweetest personality and are so relaxed most of the time.  You are the definition of a Momma's girl for sure and you're happiest when you're in her arms.  You love watching your sister entertain you and you think she's just the funniest thing.  You and Hannah are just so sweet together, you both light up when you see each other and love to play together.  I think you will always be like that, just having a good time wherever you go!

Baby girl brand new to the world!

So pretty and peaceful

Sweet smiles

Love those cheeks!

Cutie

Beautiful blue eyes

Happy girl!

You are such a sweet and happy girl Haley and we love you so much!  Happy 1st birthday!!

My Little Monkey

I think Hannah wishes she was a monkey, either that or she just thinks she is one.  She LOVES to climb on EVERYTHING!!!  This weekend CiCi and Papa C came into town to visit and Hannah decided that was the morning she would climb out of her crib.  Nice.  We aren't sure how this really happened but we have an idea.  We assume she used her bumpers as leverage to climb up the side and then just flip over onto the ground.  Her mattress was already lowered to the middle setting months ago but it is now on the lowest setting and her breathable bumpers are no longer there so she can't use anything as leverage to get out of her crib.  Isn't she supposed to be at least 1.5 years old before she attempts a stunt like that?!  On Saturday morning Mark checked on her and she was playing in her bed and then about five minutes later Cindy heard something in the hall and there she was, just making her way down the hall like it was normal!  She didn't even make a sound!!  No crying when she hit the ground, nothing!  Austin also noticed that she has two new teeth (for a grand total of EIGHT teeth now) and we didn't even know it, she didn't even fuss.   She amazes me daily.

Brushing her teeth Sunday morning with Papa C!  She LOVED getting her teeth brushed by her Daddy but ever since she saw Papa C brushing his teeth she wants to do it herself!

Here's another cute pic from our weekend.  Such a big girl!

We're working on the climbing thing and I'm happy to report that we haven't been surprised with a little monkey greeting us in the halls since!

Can You Feel The Love Tonight?

The Saturday before last my mom, my sister and her friend Sarah went to see the Broadway production of The Lion King.  The Lion King and Wicked were both on my Broadway bucket list so now I have both of them checked off.  We went out for a nice dinner before and then headed to the show.

We kept trying to get a good picture of the four of us.  We had someone take a few pics of us outside with my camera and it kept coming out blurry for some reason.  We tried again inside with my cell phone and again, blurry.

So we tried the "self portrait" approach.  Clearly, we thought this was VERY funny!  Haha.  :)

Before we walked into the theater they had people taking pics so we tried that approach.

Then we decided we needed a picture posing like lions since we were after all seeing The Lion King!  Haha.  Maybe it was the wine with dinner that helped us make that decision??  Maybe, maybe not. ;)

The Lion King was good and the costumes were amazing!!  Best costumes I've ever seen for a musical but nothing can beat Wicked for best overall musical in my opinion.  Fun times!

Eleven Months Old!

I wrote this post on her actual 11 month birthday but I'm just getting around to adding the pictures.  We're busy with party prep around our house!

I have no idea how we're already here but my baby is less than a month away from turning ONE!  I just can't believe it.  Time has just FLOWN BY!!  I told Austin that I'm probably going to be sad all month long because everyday a little less baby is there and a little more toddler shows up.  I just CAN NOT believe an entire year has already gone by!  I think this has been my favorite month so far with our sweet girl, she is just SO much fun!

Hannah, here is what you've been up to in your eleventh month!

Sleep: Nothing has really changed in this area, you are still a great sleeper and sleep in a sleep sack every night and at nap time. You are going to bed around 7-7:30 and sleep until 5-6am during the week and usually between 6-7am on the weekends. The past few weekends you slept until 7-8 which was nice, you must be extra tired from all the walking you're doing!  You are taking one or two naps (one at school and usually two naps a day on the weekends) for a total of 2-3 hours each day.  The only thing that's changed this month is that we're having to wake you up most mornings now to go to school.  You are just so worn out that you want to keep sleeping and I can't blame you one bit for that!

Daily Routine: Your daily routine consists of playing all day with your friends and eating/napping. You are usually the first one to your class at 6:30am and I pick you up before 5pm. You have two/three bottles a day at daycare, eat breakfast and lunch that I send with you and snacks with all your friends and take one nap. Sometimes if you don't get a good nap at school you are CRANKY around 5:30-6pm.  At the end of the day we head home and you play with your toys and walk all around the house finding things to get into.  You eat dinner around 6pm and then it's bath time and you take another bottle and you're out for the night.

Feed: You take four bottles a day and eat three meals and two snacks, I think we're about to remove one of those bottles this week and also replace one of the bottles with a sippy cup.  Your teachers did that a few days ago and you liked it once you realized it wasn't your regular water in the cup. You still love drinking water from your sippy cup!  For your meals you eat a fruit with oatmeal mixed in every morning and a fruit and veggie and chicken/turkey every night. You still LOVE your organic puffs, Mum Mums, yogurt melts and little puff sticks for a snack too.  We give you more table food now and you've loved all of it so far so this next month we are going to just use up all the baby food left over and then you'll be just on all table foods!

Weight: 20 lbs 14 oz at your dr visit a week ago (63%) You had gained two lbs since your last visit!

Length: 29" (69%)

Diaper Size: You wear size 3 Pampers during the day and you wear night time diapers at bed time.

Clothes Size: You're in some 9 month sizes but mostly 12 month outfits.

Hair Color: Your hair has really grown this month!  It's still a blondish color.

Eye color: You have big beautiful brown eyes.  Your eyes are very expressive, I love it!

Funniest moment: Your facial expressions still crack us up daily.  You make the cutest faces and your eyes show it all.  It's so funny to watch and we just laugh at you all the time and then you think it's pretty funny too.  :)  I think your Daddy would say your funniest moment was at bath time a few weeks ago when you looked down and saw your big belly and just slapped your hands on it and grabbed it and squeezed it a few times.  So funny.  It was like you had just realized you had a belly.

Milestone: You are a full blown walker now!  About a week ago you quit crawling and just walk everywhere, almost running at times.  You've gotten so good at turning around and turning corners to go into another room.  You really like to walk with things in your hands.  You've also perfected the move from sitting to standing, we're all pretty impressed by this.  You don't even need to use your hands, you just stand right up!  Another milestone this month is climbing!  Not so sure how I feel about that one just yet though....  You also moved to your big girl carseat which is bittersweet.  I'm glad I don't have to carry that thing to the car every afternoon but it was really nice when you fell asleep in the car (which you do often) and we could just bring you inside wherever we were and you would just keep napping.  You found your tongue this month too and love to slide it back and forth and make noises.  You also moved up to a size 4 shoe!  You are going to be tall I think based on your shoe size!

Your favorite toy: I'm not really sure what your favorite toy is right now, you seem to love them all!  You play with something for a while and then move on to the next toy.  You're a very busy girl!  You do LOVE Baby Einstein so I put that on when you're playing in the playroom and you will stop and watch it in between playing with your toys.  You still love shoes and have found a new love of kitchen utensils.

Some of your firsts this month were:

You were baptized this month!  You did SO good and Mommy and Daddy were very proud of you!!

First 4th of July

First tantrum!  You've done this a few times where if we take something away from you, you scream and throw your head back and move away from us.  It lasts about 10 seconds and is hilarious.  We just stare at you until you decide you've made your point.  You don't get that item back either so it's pretty much just a show you put on for us. ;)

Playing peek-a-boo!  You love it, it's sooo cute!  I have lots of video of you playing with us.  :)

You now will walk backwards towards us and plop down to sit in our laps.  It's so cute!

You've started brushing your own hair this month.  You love to brush your hair.  Sometimes you don't want to let go of your brush!

First time in your big girl car seat!

Here are some cute pics I took of you this month with my phone.

Mohawk after bath time!

Watching Daddy pick veggies out of the garden

That was one BIG tomato Daddy grew!  I just wanted a picture of you holding it but you were quick to take a big bite.  :)

Before bath time one night you walked over to the scale and just stood on it.  I guess you've seen Mommy do that a time or two.  ;)

Sleepy time

Sweetness

I love taking pics of you while you sleep

You and your buddy B watching people walk by outside

Here are some outtakes from your eleven month photo shoot.

Looking out the window

Rare moment where you are actually looking at the camera!

You love Mr. Lamb!

"Hannah!  Look at Mommy!!!"  That's pretty much how that one went...

You got your bow off pretty fast!

Trying to stand up on your glider while I was taking your pics solo...

I told you no.  This is the reaction I got...

Mommy is just SO mean for not letting you stand on your chair!  Haha!  That ended about a second after it started.

Hannah Lee, you are the sweetest, funniest, happiest baby girl we ever could have hoped for!  Your Daddy and I love you SOOOO much and enjoy everyday with you!

4th of July Fun

We had a great 4th of July holiday!  It's the last of Hannah's "first holidays" and she had so much fun despite not feeling great.  When I picked her up from school on Tuesday she had made this beautiful artwork!  I could tell right away what it was but her Daddy didn't know until I told him, he just kept commenting on how big her hands are getting.  Ha.  It's an American flag!  It's her first artwork hanging on our fridge. :)

Wednesday morning Miss Thang was up and ready to celebrate the holiday!

Silly girl was laughing SO hard at Mommy!

After taking a short nap we headed over to Lainey and Pops house for the afternoon to swim with the cousins!

Sometimes I see pictures like this and I'm just amazed at how pretty our little girl is.  I think she's just so beautiful.  And sweet.  And funny.  And happy.  :)

Little chipmunk cheeks

I think Pops is enjoying him some relaxing pool time!

Gabou came into town!  Leah was one happy girl!

Lainey and Tracy

Townsend party of three!  Hannah was making bubbles in this pic.

One...

Two...

THREE!!

Daddy is just SOOO much fun!

Happy girl!

I wonder what made her stop and think to make this face.  Ha!

On Thursday morning Tracy, Mary, my mom and me headed to the museum to see the Titanic exhibit.  It was so cool!  When you arrived they handed you a boarding pass that was a replica of what the passengers got to board the actual Titanic in 1912 (minus the parts that talk about it being a museum exhibit of course).  You got a little background info on your passenger and at the end of the exhibit you could see on the wall if you survived or not.  Tracy, myself and Mary all survived.  My Mom's passenger's fate wasn't so good... :(

Here we are boarding the Titanic

While I was at the exhibit Hannah's school called and said she was sick so that afternoon I took her to the pediatrician and found out she had another double ear infection.  :(
Friday morning she stayed in her jammies since she didn't feel great and helped Mommy fold her clothes.  She was such a big helper!

Until I caught her like this....BUSTED!

After I put a stop to the climbing business she was playing quietly in her playroom.  You know they're up to no good when it's quiet!  She discovered a new "toy" to play with, the DVD drawer!

She just looked so sweet when she fell asleep for her nap.

When she woke up she had a big surprise!  Aunt Jackie and Uncle Bryan came to visit!!  She was SO happy to see them!  Friday night we all met Katie and Box for dinner and then on Saturday night they came over for dinner and Hannah was the center of attention, just the way she likes it!  :)

Hanging out with Uncle Lunchbox!

Giving Gabby kisses

Love this face

Her expressions crack us up!

Sooo happy to have Jackie and Bryan here to visit!  She really loves her Uncle Bryan lots and I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual!

Hannah and Mommy hanging out

Can you hear me now?  Walking while talking on her phone AND her circle toy!

Uncle Lunchbox, you're in my house!

On Sunday Austin got her new big girl carseat set up in my car.  She loved playing in it first.

She looks so little in it!  But so big at the same time. :(

Giving Gabby some more kisses before she went back home

I took a few pics at lunchtime

Silly girl

Love those long eyelashes!

And she did it again!!  NO NO NO Miss Hannah!  She was clearly very proud of herself.

Ha!

After I took a few pics of course, I got onto her for being such a little dare devil and made a note to thank Papa C for teaching her climbing skills....  The thought of her falling off that thing and hitting her head is enough to make my heart stop so we've been working on putting an end to this climbing business...that is until she's older and wants to climb anything and everything and does it the second I walk out of the room.  But for now, we're going to put a stop to it. ;)

She was such a big helper with folding the laundry that Daddy took her for a fun lap around the living room in the laundry basket, she had so much fun!

It was a great five days spent off work that went by WAY too fast!  I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July!
