Baby T#2 31 Weeks

31 Weeks with Graham

31 Weeks with Hannah

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 31 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby Graham is the size of a coconut.  He is about 3.5 lbs and over 16 inches long (according to Baby Center).  I feel like he's bigger.  I'm almost positive of that.

Total Weight Gain: 16 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: All maternity clothes now

Gender: It's a BOY!!!

Movement: Graham MOVES!!  A LOT!!!  His movements are definitely getting bigger so I can tell he's running out of room in there. He loves to kick my hip bones and make big movements across my belly that take my breath away.  Luckily so far I'm usually alone when they happen so no one sees me wince in pain.  Boy is active!

Sleep: I usually sleep great.  I pass out super quick most nights and usually only wake up once a night still to go to the bathroom.  A few times I've woken up and couldn't go back to sleep but it's few and far between so far so I'll take it!  I'm still having super random dreams often.  I laugh that I've taken more naps the last few months than I have since I was a toddler.  I'm SO tired!

What I miss: Being able to move like a normal person.  You should see me trying to get off the couch, it's pretty funny I'd imagine.

Cravings: No cravings, just my usual sweet tooth.

Symptoms: Heartburn!  Ugh.  I hate heartburn.  I'm taking TUMS several times a day now and that seems to help for the most part.  I'm starting to feel super pregnant now and I can't believe I still have 8 weeks to go!  Luckily the swelling has been very minimal in my feet and hands so far which wasn't the case with Hannah AT ALL!  I think part of it has to do with being pregnant during the winter this time vs the summer with her.  I'm getting a lot of BH contractions daily too.  They hurt but luckily they are usually far enough apart that I don't get too bothered by them.

Best Moment this week: At my appointment last week I got to see the little guy!  He's a big one!  He already has some hair and is super happy in there.  Everything looked just like it should!  My Dr mentioned she didn't know if I'll make it to his scheduled delivery date so we'll see once we get closer.  She's predicting he will be bigger than Hannah was even coming two weeks earlier.

Kisses for Baby Graham.  Hannah is going to be such a good big sister!  I love this first picture of her because just look at how excited she is looking at him!  She said "Mommy, you swallowed Baby Graham"  Haha!

Giving her baby brother hugs.

Baby T#2 29 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 29 Weeks (10 weeks to go!!)

Size of baby: Baby Graham is the size of a butternut squash.  He is about 2.5 lbs and 15 inches long (according to Baby Center).  I feel like he's bigger.

Total Weight Gain: 15 lbs.  I'm consistently gaining about a pound a week now.  I can tell.

Maternity Clothes: All maternity clothes now

Gender: It's a BOY!!!

Movement: Graham likes to party all the time!  He actually does sleep some during the day it seems but he's pretty active the majority of the day.  He's a little wiggle worm.  Sometimes I swear he is kicking my hip bones, boy is all over the place!

Sleep: I usually sleep great.  I pass out super quick most nights and usually only wake up once a night still to go to the bathroom.  When I wake up I almost always am able to fall back asleep quickly but sometimes I'm up for an hour or so which is annoying.

What I miss: Uninterrupted sleep.  I can say goodbye to that for quite a while!  I also miss having energy, it's really hard now to get a lot done, I'm pretty limited.

Cravings: No cravings, just my usual sweet tooth.

Symptoms: Heartburn has entered my life again.  Boo!!!!  It's not too bad yet thankfully, I usually just get it in the evenings and take some Tums and it goes away.  Austin got me some chewy ones which are way better than the chalky ones.  I remember the old tale of heartburn meaning your baby has hair and we know that wasn't the case with Hannah!  Haha.  If Graham comes out with a head of hair we would be shocked.  Other than the heartburn it's all just the regular stuff, moving slowly, low energy, etc.  Nothing too bad!  I'm definitely starting to feel VERY pregnant now!  I can't believe I only have 10 weeks left and at the same time I can't believe I still have 10 weeks left!

Best Moment this week: Graham went to his first concert!  The lucky little guy got to experience the 20/20 Experience with Justin Timberlake and now he has a lifetime to try to find another concert better!  Haha.  I was worried a few times that I was hurting his poor tiny ears with how loud it was but he was dancing up a storm in there so I'm guessing he liked it.  :)  We also have our baby shower tomorrow which is exciting!  We're so lucky to have such great family and friends who want to celebrate this special little guy with us.  He's already so loved.

Kisses for Baby Graham.  Hannah is going to be such a good big sister!  She is so excited for her baby brother to get here!  I've never once told her to give him kisses either, she just does it on her own.  Such a sweetie. :)

Baby T#2 27 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 27 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby Graham is the size of a head of cauliflower.  He is about 2 lbs and 14.5 inches long (according to Baby Center).

Total Weight Gain: 13 lbs

Maternity Clothes: Maternity pants and some regular tops/mostly maternity tops

Gender: It's a BOY!!!  Everyone always says what a difference there is between boys and girls right from the start and I already agree.  This little guy is ACTIVE!!  A LOT!  He kicks, punches, flips, tries to break out, etc ALL. THE. TIME.  I'm not sure how much he's sleeping actually.  It makes me a little concerned how active he will be and how much he will sleep once he's here with us.

Movement: See above.  Graham is a little party animal!  Did anyone else who had both boys and girls experience more activity with their boys??  He will punch and kick at the same time on opposite sides of my belly which is just super awesome.  ;)  He loves kicking my bladder but so did his big sister.  One thing I don't remember with Hannah is her trying to extend her arms/legs out and it be very sore for me to touch that spot on my belly when it happens.  He does that a lot.  It doesn't feel good.

Sleep: I usually sleep great.  I pass out super quick most nights and usually only wake up once a night still to go to the bathroom.

What I miss: Nothing really.

Cravings: No cravings

Symptoms: Just the regular pregnancy stuff.  I move much slower these days!  I'm waddling a little which people at work like to comment on so that's super nice.  ;)  Getting off the couch is more of a challenge and when I get out of bed I purposely do it much slower so I don't get dizzy or lose my balance.  I have the same weird red dots on my upper chest/lower neck that I had with Hannah too.  They went away after I had her so I'm assuming they will this time as well.  I have a few red dots on my face and small darker spots.  It's weird, I have no idea why and they aren't that noticeable but I see them.  My feet are starting to swell just slightly so far, I can tell my shoes are a little tighter the last few days.  Luckily it's boot season so I can hide them once they get super swollen!  Work has been wearing me out lately, it's hard to sit in the chair for long.  My cardiologist and OB  have put me on a restricted work schedule for the remainder of my pregnancy so for now I'm working 5 hours a day/5 days a week.  I have yet to actually only stay at work for 5 hours but once I come back from Thanksgiving I'm going to do that daily.  I can already tell a difference at night just by resting a few hours in the afternoons so I'm really hoping that helps in the long run and keeps me off bed rest this time around.  I'm starting to feel super pregnant now!

Best Moment this week: Hannah just LOVES her baby brother!  She will come running up to me and say I need to kiss/hug my brother.  She does and then she runs off to do whatever it was she was doing.  It's just so sweet.

Kisses for Baby Graham.  Hannah had crazy hair this morning too!  One more week until the 3rd trimester!!  Crazy!

Baby T #2 25 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 25 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby T is the size of a rutabaga and is about 13.5" long and weighs about 1.5 lbs (according to Baby Center).  My guess is he is a little bigger than this.

Total Weight Gain: 11 lbs

Maternity Clothes: Maternity pants and some regular tops/mostly maternity tops

Gender: It's a BOY!!!  With a name!  His name is Graham Allan Townsend.  Picking a boy name was HARD!!  Hannah was SO super easy!  We literally had one conversation about it and it was done, we knew that was her name.  We talked about Allan before we even knew we were having a boy because Austin has always wanted to name his son Allan after his Grandad's middle name and my Uncle Jeff's middle name was Alan so we knew the middle name right away.  We just had to find a name to go with it.  Not so easy.  One day a few months ago I mentioned Graham and Austin liked it.  It also was my Grandpa's name who passed away the year before Austin and I met.  We tossed around a few other names but Graham stuck so Graham it is!

Movement: He is a mover but he's very shy and selective about who gets to feel his movements.  I've decided he doesn't like light because if I lift my shirt to see him moving around he usually stops so I guess he likes partying it up in the dark.  But his kicks/punches/whatever he's doing in there are STRONG!  He will kick and punch at the same time way down on the lower left side and way high up on the top right side at the same time.  He's taking full advantage of his space in there.  Sometimes it hurts a little but usually it's just crazy feeling.  He had a big time party around 3 am this morning that lasted about an hour.

Sleep: I love sleep. :)  I've been sleeping pretty good every night, except last night.  I woke up around 2:15 and never went back to sleep.  Between his shenanigans in there and who knows what else I just couldn't go back to sleep.  Usually I'm out like a light super quick though.

What I miss: Nothing really.

Cravings: No cravings really but I still drink chocolate milk every week day morning.  It's just good.

Symptoms: Just the regular pregnancy stuff.  I'm moving much slower now, getting out of chairs and the bed is a little more difficult.  My tail bone hurts now if I sit for too long, anyone else have that happen?  I get worn out VERY quickly but I think that has more to do with the SVT.  Yesterday we had a crazy busy day and were gone for almost 12 hours and today I feel like I ran a 5K.  My entire body is hurting.  I have a pretty big appetite usually and can eat most everything on my plate at a restaurant which I could never do before.  Food is good, what can I say?? ;)  I feel like I eat a lot actually but so far so good, no one has told me to stop yet.  Haha.  I have the glucose test on Wednesday morning which I'm not super excited about but it will be quick and then be over with.  I remember with Hannah I felt pretty bad after it so hopefully I'm ok this time.

Best Moment this week: Hannah lately has been giving my belly hugs and kisses every time she gives me a hug.  It is SO sweet!  She just does it all on her own.  She wants to give Baby Graham some loving.  She's going to be such a good big sister.  On another note, we took our family pics/maternity pics yesterday and as usual, she was SUCH a ham!  I really hope the little guy loves getting his picture taken as much as she does because she's probably one of the easiest 3 year olds to photograph I think.  It's so funny, she will be goofing off and as soon as we say look at the camera she is just ON!  So funny.

We have finally made progress on his room!  We have all the furniture now and after a long day of fabric shopping on Friday, we have his bedding picked out!  Austin bought the paint for his walls over the weekend so we're making some progress.

Baby T#2 23 Weeks

Note to self: stop taking bump pictures at 6am, you look tired.

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 23 Weeks (I keep forgetting how many weeks along I am....is that bad???  Haha.)

Size of baby: Baby T weighs as much as a large mango, around 11 inches long and more than a pound in weight.  He's getting big!

Total Weight Gain: 10 lbs

Maternity Clothes: Maternity pants and some regular tops/some maternity tops

Gender: It's a BOY!!!  Baby T I think has a name, I'm almost certain of it, but we haven't "officially" decided it.

Movement: He is a mover!  He moves a lot in the mornings and at night.  When I'm laying in bed it's party time for the little guy!  He's a little ninja in there, I swear.  He kicks hard and now we can see his movements from the outside.  I can now definitely feel when he kicks my bladder.  That's nice.  Sometimes his movements can hurt so I'm not sure if he's just doing flips in there or what but I can definitely tell he's moving a ton!

Sleep: I love sleep. :)  I've been sleeping pretty good every night, just not long enough during the weekdays. My dreams are just ridiculous.  And random.  And so so weird.

What I miss: Nothing right now.

Cravings: I eat some kind of candy every afternoon after lunch which I normally never do.  It's yummy.  :)

Symptoms: Just the regular pregnancy stuff.  Tired, can't move too quickly, etc.  I get really worn out very quickly because of the SVT so I have to watch that pretty closely.  It's frustrating not being able to do a lot but I deal.  We went to the Dr last week and got the report from our 18 week ultrasound and he's a big boy!  His arms and legs are measuring in the 70% so he's most likely going to be tall like his Daddy.  My belly is also measuring TWO weeks ahead!  WHAT?!  I asked why since he's 50% in weight and 70% in length right now and she said my belly is just probably preparing for him to get big soon.  Considering some people still don't realize I'm pregnant when they see me (???) that just surprises me that my belly is that far ahead of schedule.  I also think I'm developing the pregnancy waddle.  Awesome.

Best Moment this week: Seeing and feeling our little guy moving around!  He's strong!!

I was reading my 23 week post from Hannah and it makes me laugh because at this point we already had her bedding and furniture in!  Ummm.....I guess I should get working on that....  Haha!  Yeah, I'm a tad bit behind I guess.  Or I was just way ahead of it with her.

Heart Matters

If you've followed the blog from when I was pregnant with Hannah this won't be anything new but if you're new to the blog then here goes.  When I'm pregnant, and only when I'm pregnant thankfully, I have a heart condition.  It's weird.  Even my cardiologist says it's not normal to only have a heart condition when pregnant and not other times.  Anywhoo....my heart condition is call Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT).  Basically my heart beats so fast that the heart muscle can't relax between contractions.  When the chambers don't relax they can't fill with enough blood for my body and the brain doesn't received enough blood and oxygen causing me to get light headed, out of breath and have a very fast heart rate.  The reason this only happens to me when I'm pregnant is because the increased blood flow for the baby.  When I'm not pregnant, no extra blood flow therefore my heart beats normally.

I went to the cardiologist a few months ago because I was already noticing symptoms that I had while pregnant with Hannah and after getting the EKG, Echo cardiogram and wearing the 24 hour Holter monitor again it was determined that the SVT was indeed back and we're going to follow the same protocol as we did last time.   I do wish I had more options as far as treatments because the medicine they would normally treat me with isn't safe for when pregnant so they have me on the same medicine as last time which is very sensitive and toxic to your blood if you aren't on the right dose so I get my blood taken frequently.  We still haven't found the right dose for me that is safe while making me feel better but they're working on it.  I remember with Hannah that I was on the strongest dose allowed by the end of my pregnancy so I'm assuming the same will happen this time around.  I was expecting this so nothing really surprised me except how quickly it started this time.  I thought it would start later like it did with Hannah (I think I was around 19-20 weeks with her when I noticed it) but it got much much worse with her before I was medicated so maybe that's why I'm noticing it earlier with the little guy.

Anyways, I take it day by day and try to do as much as I can without over doing it which isn't much.  I'm just happy this is a short term thing (it went away within hours of delivering Hannah so we're hoping the same happens with the little guy) so after he's born I can get back to feeling normal again.  Poor Austin has to do EVERYTHING!  I just lay there and watch him clean, pick up Hannah (that's been a no-no since 14 weeks for me unfortunately.  It makes me sad.), push the grocery cart, etc.  Luckily he's awesome like that and doesn't complain because well, it's not my fault and he knows I don't like not being able to do things for myself or help him.  It's really hard to not do little things like go to the grocery store but I can quickly tell when I've done too much and get out of breath or start having Braxton Hicks contractions so I've accepted it and just try to relax as much as possible.  I'm not very good at it still though....

One thing that is hard is seeing other pregnant women who are further along than me doing things I can't do anymore.  Here I am at 22 weeks and I can't do the same things women at 38 weeks are doing easily.  But it is what it is.  I can't change it so I just accept it and do the best I can do while staying safe.  My #1 priority is being healthy and keep this precious boy in my belly for as long as possible so he can get big and strong (I'm pretty sure he's strong already based on his ninja kicks in there).  Hannah is just the sweetest little girl ever too and will come up to me and say "Mommy are you tired, do you need to rest?".  I just love her so much.  I feel guilty a lot because I can't go on walks with them or play much so I try to rest on the couch in her play room with her a lot and get cuddle time in or just play while sitting.  We have a lot of tea parties.  :)

So, that's about it.  Let's pray for an uneventful pregnancy with little complications and that my heart stays under control!

Baby T#2 21 Weeks

For comparison, here I was at 21 weeks with Hannah

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 21 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby T is the length of a carrot

Total Weight Gain: I think about 8-9 lbs.  I'm packing it on!

Maternity Clothes: Maternity pants and some regular tops/some maternity tops

Gender: It's a BOY!!!  Baby T I think has a name, as in, we decided one a few weeks ago and haven't talked much about it since.  Haha.  We need to talk about it again and decide for sure!

Movement: He is a mover!  I still don't feel him moving too much during the day but I walk around a lot so I may just not notice.  Later at night he's usually pretty active.  Last night was a first where we could see him moving a LOT when I was laying flat.  I've also figured out that he stops moving when I start talking.  For over a week I'd say "Austin, come here and feel, he's moving" and then he does nothing.  Playing tricks on his Daddy already!  Now I just have to snap my fingers or wave to get Austin's attention to come over and feel so he doesn't stop moving.  Austin was pretty excited because on 9/30 he felt him kick for the first time.  Aunt Tracy felt him kick last weekend too.

Sleep: I love sleep. :)  I've been sleeping pretty good every night, just not long enough during the weekdays. My dreams are just ridiculous.  And random.  And so so weird.

What I miss: Nothing right now.

Cravings: I don't really crave a lot other than wanting something sweet at night.

Symptoms: My headaches and hip pain have gone away for the most part thankfully.  I still get headaches often but they are very mild, not even bad enough for Tylenol.  I definitely can't get up and move quickly anymore and if I do, I pay for it with a nice sharp ligament pain in my lower belly.  That's fun.  I started having Braxton Hicks contractions a few weeks ago, I was hoping those wouldn't happen early this time around but they actually started about a month earlier than with Hannah.  I just can't over do it at all.  No more pushing shopping carts or walking too much so Austin has had to pull double duty on most of the weekend chores we usually split up.  My cardiologist said I just need to sit and be a princess until the baby is born.  Easier said than done, that's for sure!  Speaking of cardiologist, I don't think I've mentioned this yet on the blog but my heart condition is back for round 2.  I'll explain more on that later.

Best Moment this week: Seeing and feeling our little guy moving around!  That was my absolute favorite part of being pregnant with Hannah so I'm excited to finally be feeling him and seeing him party it up in there!

This isn't a best moment but it's a moment I had the weekend before last; I sorted through all of Hannah's baby clothes to get rid of.  It was so sad!  I'm not going to lie, I ugly cried for like 10 mins (I started with the newborn clothes, rookie mistake!).  I'm so excited to have a little boy but at the same time it's sad that another little girl won't be wearing all of those clothes that Hannah made memories in.  I seriously had a memory for just about every outfit.  Maybe I'll just dress up little brother in some of her clothes.  ;)  No??  Ha.  Don't worry, he'll have his own cute wardrobe soon enough.  I even told Austin maybe we should keep them "just in case".  Considering our IVF journey is DONE he said I don't think we need to worry about not having girl clothes for another baby and if we do, we'll buy new ones.  I said but they won't be the SAME clothes Hannah wore.  He officially thinks I'm crazy now.  So, all of her cute clothes are already with Liz and baby Layla (I saved a few special outfits just for memory sake) and the rest are going in the garage sale.  I can promise you one thing, I already know I will end up taking a few things off the tables to keep.  I just know it.  Ha.  Maybe Austin's right and I am crazy after all.  ;)

This picture is kind of weird looking but when Hannah and I were at Tracy's for the weekend I took a picture because I could feel a large hard spot and I wanted to see what it looked like.  You think you can tell where the little guy is??  Haha!  He was sticking way out from the rest of my belly!

It's A BOY!!!

Monday was a big day for us.  We got to spend almost an hour being entertained by our sweet 2nd baby.  I left the house SUPER early that morning for a meeting so I didn't see Austin get dressed and when we showed up at the appointment he was wearing blue and I was wearing pink.  Totally by accident!  In fact, I think it's the one pink work shirt I own.  We already had a pretty good idea that Baby T was a boy from our ultrasound last week but his cord was very close to the goods so since we weren't 100% sure so we kept it under wraps (mostly if you don't count the 10 people we told, haha) until Monday.  It was a long weekend!!

First of all, the best news is that he appears to be 100% healthy!  Everything looks just as it should and he's growing right on track!  He is smaller than his big sister was at this point (fine by me!!!), she was always measuring about a week ahead.  If I can avoid carrying around an 8lb 7oz baby at 5' tall I welcome it!  This little guy will be arriving two weeks earlier than his sister did so we're hoping that's the case anyways.

Now, on to pictures of our sweet little BOY!  I'm keeping the picture of his "business" off the internet because he's a gentleman but let's just say we are 100% SURE that he's a boy!  No question about it!

His perfect profile.  He looks like he has a cute little button nose just like Hannah. :)  His head seems to be a little smaller than hers as well.  She's never gone below 95% in the head department. ;)

His arm and on the left side is his hand making a fist.

His cute little foot and toes.  His feet are long!  Looks like I'm going to be the only small footed person in our family!

Here's a picture of his leg (facing down).  The right side is his hip, the middle is his knee and the left side is his foot.  Click on the picture for closer descriptions.

Here he has his legs crossed.  I'm telling you, this guy is a MOVER!!  Like, constantly, especially with his hands.  Makes me a little nervous about how active he will be this time next year!

Ok, this is an interesting picture.  He was head down the first half of the ultrasound (so he was facing my back) so the technician told me to go to the bathroom and we'll see if he moves around.  Yeah...he did.  He's so funny!  He completely folded himself in half!  We were all laughing and the tech said she doesn't know why he's laying like that because it definitely doesn't look comfortable and he has plenty of room!  I think he was just showing off. ;)   I've written what you're looking at in the picture but basically the front of his knees are touching his nose and his feet are at the top of his head.

He's smiling at us here. :)  I imagine he's thinking "I bet you can't do this, can you??"  And he's right, we can't.  Haha.  But look at that tiny little button nose!  LOVE.

It was such a great morning!  What we know right now is that he's very healthy, he's measuring one day ahead of his due date for size so perfectly on track and he's super active!  I think he's going to be a little ham just like big sister!

I'll show pictures of the reveal to Hannah next.  She's very excited about meeting her little brother!

Baby T#2 19 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 19 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby T weighs is as big as an heirloom tomato

Total Weight Gain: I think about 6 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: Maternity pants and regular tops still

Gender: It's a BOY!!!

Movement: He is a mover!  I can feel the big movements but as I noticed in the ultrasound, the smaller movements (and he has a LOT) aren't strong enough for me to feel yet.  Last weekend I felt him roll/flip which was funny, I recognized it immediately from Hannah.

Sleep: I love sleep. :)  I've been sleeping pretty good every night, just not long enough during the weekdays. My dreams are just ridiculous.  And random.

What I miss: Drinking something other than water.

Cravings: I don't really crave a lot other than wanting something sweet at night.

Symptoms: I've been getting headaches every night the past few weeks which isn't fun.  Hannah is so sweet, she'll say "Mommy do you have a headache?  I'll kiss it and make it better".  I've also had the weirdest pain sensation on my left hip where I had to give the progesterone injections.  All of the sudden I will feel like I just got a shot and it will last a few minutes.  It's only on the left side though and I would give the injections on both sides.  My dr thinks it's possibly sciatica and the reason I feel it only on the left side is because I sleep on that side.  I'm hoping it goes away soon.

Best Moment this week: Getting to have our big ultrasound on Monday and finding out Baby T is a BOY!  I'm still in shock that I'm having a boy!  As you know, we are a family full of girls so this will be an exciting adventure with a little guy running around!  I'm sure he will be bossed around by his older sister and cousins his entire life.  ;)

Baby T#2 17 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 17 Weeks

Size of baby: Baby T weighs about as much as a turnip

Total Weight Gain: I think about 4 lbs.

Maternity Clothes: Not yet but I can't fit in any of the pants I was wearing right before I got pregnant.   I'm only wearing all my bigger sized pants and probably not for too much longer.  I can only fit in on pair of shorts now.

Gender: We should find out very soon!

Movement: He/she is moving all around in there as we've seen several times but I'm not feeling any of it just yet.  At least I don't think so, I feel flutters randomly but since they aren't consistent I'm going to assume it's not the baby.

Sleep: I love sleep. :)  I've been sleeping pretty good every night, just not long enough during the weekdays.

What I miss: Nothing really.

Cravings: I don't know if I crave a lot other than wanting something sweet at night.  I've been drinking chocolate milk every morning and it's delicious.  Full fat chocolate milk. Yummy.

Symptoms: I feel pretty good!  I've been having headaches every night this week which I remember having with Hannah about this point in the pregnancy as well.

Best Moment this week: We got to see Baby T on Wednesday!  Austin called him/her "baby jazz hands" because it was waving it's hands in front of his/her face a ton.  So cute. :)

Here's a peak of the little munchkin!  It's not a great picture but I know what I'm looking at.  ;)

Baby T#2 15 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:

How Far Along: 15 Weeks - Baby T#2s first weekly update!

Size of baby: Baby T is about the size of an apple

Total Weight Gain/Loss: I'm not really sure.  Some days the scale says 1 lb and other days it says 3 lbs, it fluctuates by the day.  I'm going to assume 2-3 lbs.  I hadn't gained any weight yet at this point with Hannah.  The belly is definitely bigger!

Maternity Clothes: Not yet but I can't fit in any of the pants I was wearing right before I got pregnant.   I'm only wearing all my bigger sized pants and probably not for too much longer.

Gender: We should find out in 3-4 weeks!

Movement: He/she is moving all around in there as we've seen several times but I'm not feeling any of it just yet.  This kid is ACTIVE!

Sleep: I love sleep. :)  I pass out with absolutely no problem but I'm waking up at least once each night.  Now that I'm through the first trimester I'm getting a little more energy which is nice but I still feel exhausted by the second half of the day.  I actually just got a FitBit to track my sleep because I was so curious.  It's pretty interesting seeing the results and explains a lot.

What I miss: Real drinks.  Ha.  I quit drinking diet coke over a year ago so that craving isn't too bad but I miss getting iced tea with lunch.  I'm drinking zero caffeine so that means water all day long.  It's a good thing I love water.  But every few days I'll drink caffeine free iced tea at home just because I'm bored with water.  When I was pregnant with Hannah I craved chicken tenders and since those have gluten I can't eat them anymore but I'd still love to have some!

Cravings: Sweets

Symptoms: I feel pretty good!  No more 1st trimester fierce exhaustion (it was FIERCE!!) or nausea (I only that for about a month mildly).  I can't feel the baby moving yet so I kind of don't really feel pregnant right now except for the bigger belly.  Oh, and the urge to eat constantly.

Best Moment this week: There wasn't much going on this week so I can't think of a "best".  I'm excited to find out whether this little one is a boy or girl so I can start planning the room!

Party of Four!

2015 is going to be a big year for the Townsend family!  Baby T #2 is set to make his/her arrival in mid-February!  We could not be more excited about this news as you can imagine!!  We have now entered the second trimester so I figured it's safe to "officially" tell the news.

Here is Baby T #2 at 12 weeks.  You can see the leg, foot and toes so clearly here.

This little munchkin is a MOVER!!  I just know as soon as I start feeling it moving around it's going to just be insane.  It has been so much fun watching him/her wiggling around every week.  We just laugh while watching about how active it already is.  Feeling Hannah moving around was my favorite part of being pregnant so hopefully it will be the same with this one since apparently, it's a big fan of dancing.

We found out the Saturday before Father's Day so it was perfect timing!  I wasn't scheduled to get my blood work done until the following Wednesday but I just couldn't wait any longer so that morning I took a pregnancy test and then handed it to Hannah who ran it out to Austin yelling Happy Father's Day Daddy!  We were all so excited!  That afternoon we went to my parents house to hang out with the family for Father's Day and shockingly I was able to wait about 3-4 hours to tell them after we were all done swimming.  I had bought a shirt for Hannah to wear so we put that on her and had her run out and tell everyone.

Hannah is SO excited to be a big sister as you can tell!  She is even more excited about having a baby sister named Lila because that's all she talks about.  I ask her all the time what if it's a baby brother and she finally started saying "Mommy, stop saying that, it's a baby sister".  We'll find out soon enough!  We have no idea where she got the name Lila from either....

We are just so excited for this little one to make their arrival!  He/she definitely made us work for it, that's for sure!  After FOUR rounds of IVF, trying a whole new approach and then finally switching doctors we couldn't be more thrilled about the newest addition to our family.  Updates to come soon!
