Yeah, That Just Happened....

So, during my lunch break today I had to run a quick errand.  I grabbed some food on the way back to the office to eat at my desk.  It wasn't exactly a healthy option and I didn't care because who was going to judge, ya know?  Oh, well at least five people got the chance to judge me....  You know how on sitcoms sometimes they'll pull the lame "the bottom of the bag fell out and everything in that bag fell on the ground and the one can of something rolled across the room" bit?  Yeah, that happened to me.  Except insert my oh-so healthy lunch choice finding a nice spot on the parking garage floor right in the front where everyone walks.  I was walking from my car through the parking garage and I was just in la-la land and suddenly the entire bottom of the bag just opened up and everything fell to the ground.  I just stood there staring at it for a second and then got on the ground to pick it up while a group of people walked by.  Soooo embarrassing!!!  Luckily I had a plastic bag in my car so I (very quickly) walked over to it to put my food in that bag so I could walk to my desk with my head down low. 

Awesome.

On another note, check out how cute my little munchkin was for school this morning!  It was "yellow" day and everyone was supposed to dress for it.  Her Daddy got her dressed and she just looked soooo cute!  Pink Crocs and all.  ;)  I do have to mention that when she first walked into the room she had a huge turkey bow on her head.  I noticed it had a hint of yellow in it so I'm guessing that's why Austin picked it.  Haha.

Happy Halloween!

Ok, so I'm waaaaay behind on blogging, life has just been crazy busy and super overwhelming lately but I'm going to go ahead and post about Halloween and then go backwards from there when I get some time (so in other words, don't hold your breathe for my next post.  ha!)     

Halloween started with Miss Hannah having her first trick or treating at school and getting all kinds of yummy goodies!  That afternoon her class had a Halloween party so I came to visit and help out.

Our little monkey was so happy to see her Mommy!  And even more excited to look at herself in my phone camera.  The monkey costume was a no-brainer this year, I actually ordered it a few months ago.  With Miss Thang being a daily climber we just figured she could be a "real" monkey for one day!

After we got home and she filled her little monkey belly full of dinner we headed over to the neighbors house to hang out with our other favorite little animals!

It was a great Halloween and Hannah had SO much fun!  Can't wait again until next year!  Hopefully sometime before Thanksgiving I'll have posts up about our two pumpkin patch visits, the annual Halloween party and all the other things going on around here!  I hope everyone had a great Halloween!

14 Months Old!

I'm really behind on blogging, this post has been written since the 11th and the pictures were taken that weekend.  I'm just now getting around to putting it together.  Sorry, been a little busy lately!

Hannah Lee you are 14 months old now!   You are such a big girl and we barely see any more baby left in you.  You are a very busy girl and rarely stop except to sleep.  You talk NON STOP and your little voice is so cute and sweet.  You just babble away all day, sometimes saying real words and sometimes just talking away in your own language. 

You love to EAT!!!  You get so excited when we say eat and you just sign eat and walk over to your chair.  You also sign milk and you know exactly what that is and get very upset if you see your cup of milk and don't get it quickly.

You still sleep great at night.  We put you in bed around 7pm and you play in your bed usually around 10-15 minutes and then you're out until around 6am.  On the weekends you sleep longer.  You've been doing great napping at school too, usually sleeping 2-2.5 hours (3 hours on the weekends lately).  Every now and then I go check on you when you're napping at school and you look so cute curled up on your tiny little cot. 

You are obsessed with pictures, seriously obsessed.  You want to look at them constantly and like to tell us everyone in the pics.  Usually you just say Mama a lot and point.  And baby.  You loooove to say baby.  You also LOVE to look at pictures of yourself on my iPhone or iPad.  You think it's so much fun.  You think it's even more fun to watch videos of yourself on them.  It's so cute.  You've already figured out that you can just swipe your finger across the screen to unlock it and to move to the next picture so you do that often. 

You still love you some shoes!  You now call them "doose" instead of "tank toos" so we're getting somewhere.  :)  You really like to put different shoes on and think it's so fun to walk around like that.  We rarely get anywhere in the car without you taking your shoes and socks off.  It keeps you busy in the car so we just go with it.  You also take off one shoe and sock at school about 10 times a day and apparently, you have taught your friends how to do the same.  I've already said sorry to your teachers for that one... Haha. 

You are SO smart Hannah!  You are already showing an interest in going potty and you tell us every time you poo poo.  You just walk up to one of us or your teachers and say "poo poo" and touch your bottom so we know.  Your teachers say we can start to potty train you now that you are showing interest but I think we're going to hold off a little while on that.  You've never told us you've gone tee tee so instead of changing your clothes 25 times a day, we'll just wait until you're a few months older.  

You've gotten your 10th, 11th, and 12th teeth in!  Your 2nd bottom molar and two of your top molars.  You are such a trooper!  Your first molar hurt coming through but these three don't seem to bother you at all.  You can really see your bottom molars when you smile.

You love making animal sounds.  Any time we see a picture of an animal in your books or tv you say the sounds.  So far you know cow (moo), horse (neh), sheep (baa), dog (woof), and cat (meow).  So far the only color you know is yellow and you love to say that often.  You can recognize it in pictures and on flowers.  You also now say "yite" (and point to the light), apple and "snack".  You're so smart.  :)  You're really into saying "happy" now too.  Repeatedly.  It's so cute!  

We love you so much Hannah Lee!!  You are just the sweetest, happiest, funniest, cutest little girl we've ever seen!

Sad Heart

Normally I never blog about other people but this blog world is a crazy thing.  I have learned about things I never would have dreamed about and found inspiration in people I've never met (and most likely never will meet) before.  When I checked on my regular blogs this morning my heart become so so sad for a girl who I've gotten to know over the past few years.  Julee Turner and I met because of our infertility struggles and thankfully for both of us, through the help of IVF we each welcomed our beautiful daughters into the world last year.  Late Saturday night her world was crushed when her husband Matt passed away in a car accident.  I literally gasped when I read the news, I'm so broken hearted for their family but most especially Julee and sweet Preslee.  Julee and I are not life long friends but through emailing about acupuncture, infertility, etc and mainly just through reading her blog I've gotten to know her and I can't even imagine what she's going through right now.  I just pray for her to make it through this time with Preslee as best as she can.  I very randomly thought about Julee, Matt and Preslee over the weekend, I can't even remember what it was I was thinking about but maybe it was God's way of telling me to pray for them.  My heart is broken for them right now and I know there aren't very many people who read this blog but if you feel like you'd like to help in any way please go over to Kelly's Korner and she has info on how people are trying to help Julee and Preslee.  Please say a prayer for the Turner family.

Now I'm going to walk over to Hannah's class and give her a big hug.



Silly Girl

Hannah is more and more like a toddler every single day.  She makes us laugh SO hard at the silly things she does and when she sees us laughing at her she cracks up even more.  It's so cute.  I want to remember so much of the little things she does so here are a few things that stick out in my mind.

Last week she watched me putting lotion on my arms and legs.  She was very curious about what I was doing and walked over and touched my leg and looked at me funny when she felt the lotion.  Then she put her finger in her mouth to taste it.  Nice.  Well, fast forward a few days when I picked her up at school and her teacher was laughing and telling me about lunchtime when they had mashed potatoes and Hannah took a handful of hers and according to her teacher "wiped them all over her arms like she was putting on lotion".  I just laughed because I knew exactly why she did that.

A few times this month I've dropped something on the carpet so I've been on the ground cleaning the spot.  Hannah is so funny, she watches me cleaning and will walk over and get on the ground and mimic me and "help" me clean the carpet.  Sweet girl.

Hannah has lately decided she wants to eat A LOT!!  Never before did she have a huge appetite, she would eat a normal amount and then usually not finish her food and get bored with it.  Not anymore.  No way.  Now, she walks over to us signing "eat" and saying "eat eat" while she signs it and then she'll walk over to her high chair and wait for us to put her in it.  Last night she ate SO much food!  Her dinner was six raviolis, 1/2 an avocado, pears and an ENTIRE banana!  Plus her puff sticks.  After ALL that she cried watching us eat our dinner because she wanted more.  Ridiculous.  She's a little piggy!

Hannah LOVES to look out the backdoor/windows.  She does it everyday.  On Sunday she was so interested when it was raining so we opened the door for her to get a closer look.

Birthday Weekend

The Sunday before last was my birthday.  We started the weekend off on Saturday morning watching Game Day because they were in CS for A&Ms first game in the SEC!  Just like every gameday the whole family was decked out in our Aggie gear!

Saturday night after the game was over Lainey, Pops, Leah and Haley came over for a bday dinner.  The girls were staying with them for a few days while Tracy and Ryan were on vacation.  They had so much fun with all of Hannah's toys!

Now THIS is a rare sight!!  Haley doesn't just go to anyone and she loved Papa C!  She was showing him all he needed to know about the DVD case. 

Sunday morning Hannah and Papa C went on a little journey and Hannah got in a fight with the ground and the ground won so she had some war wounds on her face.  It didn't stop her from riding her Radio Flyer E.T. style though!

Sunday afternoon we headed to the Cirque du Soleil show that was in town with our buddies Katie and Box.  It was awesome!  I've wanted to go to a show for years and it just worked out perfectly that they were in town on my birthday!  We had SUPER close seats and were just amazed at what those performers can do.  It's crazy.  After the show we headed to eat some yummy Mexican food.  :)

These weekends sure are different than they used to be but it was still a great birthday weekend!!
