Locks Of Love

So, you remember the changes I talked about last week?  Well, this was the second one!  I decided around the first of the year to donate my hair to Locks of Love.  In the world of Locks of Love, my hair is prime real estate so I decided to only get minimum hair trims here and there throughout the year so that when I did get the big cut I wouldn't have super short hair.  For those who don't know what I'm talking about, Locks of Love is an organization that makes wigs for children suffering from illness/diseases where they lose their hair.

So, here are the before and after pictures!
Ladies and gentlemen, I had some looong hair!  I got 11 inches cut off and when my hair was in a ponytail it measured 18 inches long.  It. drove. me. crazy!

Before haircut

After haircut, it turned out much longer than I expected.  It's crazy to me that after 11 inches gone it still was shoulder length.

Here's the donation!  It looks shorter than it is in the picture because it's kind of curled under a little bit.

Can I interest anyone in a pair of hair earrings??  Gross.  Ha!

I love having my hair cut, it feels thicker and so healthy!  As Tracy said, I literally had a weight lifted off my shoulders.  Ha!  I'm so happy I was able to do this for little kids who need the hair and I'll probably do it again one day in the future.  Unfortunately for the Locks of Love people, they are going to need quite a few more people to donate their hair to add to mine for a full wig since I have such fine hair but I think it will do.  :)

I can't believe you cut that much off and it's still "long". You got the Mom cut. :)
